Why are there so many songs
and stories
and dreams about rainbows?
What's so special about them?
People think there is a rainbow connection.
That they are magical wonders,
or just illusions.
They say,
Someday We'll Find It,
The Rainbow Connection,
The Lovers, The Dreamers, and Me.
Well what about the rest of us?
I'm not a lover,
I don't think I'm a dreamer,
and I'm not you.
I might be a sad dreamer,
an angry person
who's come to terms with reality.
But I still kinda wanna find
that oh so special
Rainbow Connection.
It seems that
finding this rainbow connection
isn't for me though.
But I would give anything
for that me to be Me.
Rainbows symbolize hope,
dreams,
love,
a happy ending after a dark storm.
To be the mean a fleeting glimpse
of unattainable beauty and hope and dreams.
I wish that someday I might find it.
The rainbow connection.
The sobbing lovers, the dead dreamers, and me.
