I was sitting in my bunker bed recovering from the nasty beat down that occurred the other night when I decided to watch TV. I powered on the TV and saw that Avengers Infinity War was playing. I thought Marvel movies were funny, but I loved the dark aspects of DC movies. The only reason I like DC comics is because they are in away like real life because fighting crime isn't a laughing matter and the people who love marvel movies just can't accept how reality really is.
"Are you thinking about how Marvel movies are for people who hate reality again?" Someone said. I looked at someone in a dark blue samurai outfit. He was wearing a dark blue samurai mask over his face, but I recognized the voice to be that of Jeffrey's. "Yes I am Mr.Seeker, and I see that you changed your costume." I said. "Actually, I took your advice and changed my name to Blue Samurai." He said. Blue Samurai was a good name in my opinion but I would always think Hell Seeker as the cooler name.
"How did you come up with that dope name?" I asked. Jeffrey took off his mask. "Blue Samurai is a mythological hero in The Shogun Demon's world that protected the land of Koldmore." Jeffrey said. Jeffrey didn't need to explain what Koldmore was because Crippler used to tell me stories about how it was a beautiful paradise that turned into a living hell over the last few decades. "Did you kill The Shogun Demon yet?" I asked. "No, but I managed to do more to end his empire than anyone else." Jeffrey said. I got off of my bed to stand up.
"I heard you got your ass kicked by some guy who never fought a day in his life, I don't think you should be standing." Jeffrey said. "Crippler had access to a bunch of top of the line hospital equipment, and that wonderful device in the corner healed me." I said. I pointed to the corner at a red machine that you lay down on and these rays scan and heal you. I was one lucky vigilante.
"I'm lucky I don't need that machine to be awesome, I'm in invincible now." Jeffrey said. I quickly pulled out my gun and shot Jeffrey in the head. He collapsed to the floor and I quickly ran over to him worried. I wanted to see if he couldn't die, and I shouldn't have shot him in the head. "Jeffrey, I'm so sorry." I said as I bent down towards Jeffrey. Jeffrey sat back up. "About what?" Jeffrey asked.
I backed up away from him out of shock. The wound healed right up and there was no trace of a bullet entering his skull. "How on God's fucking green earth are you still alive?" I asked. "The experiment I was put through gave me invincibility to everything except fire." Jeffrey said.
"Thanks for telling me your weakness, I know how to beat you now." I said. "We can have a competition and you can use fire, but I'll still win." I walked over to a shooting range. "Ok, well see who's the better hero starting with the shooting range." I said. "Ok, let the games be over in three minutes because I'll smoke you instantly." Jeffrey said. I picked up my dual pistols and swiftly blew holes in all the papers.
I didn't miss a single sheet and I handed a pistol to Jeffrey. "I'll put the laser sight on, but you need to turn off the safety, can you do that?" I asked. "You mean this button?" Jeffrey asked. He pulled the trigger instead of hitting the safety button. "That's the trigger, this is the safety." I said. I pushed the safety off for him and he started shooting. The recoil hit him in the eye the first time, and he missed his other shots. "Don't worry Jeffrey, some people can't get close to hitting the target." I said.
"Ok Ian, I have a gun, but I'm only skilled with that one particular gun, but how about we have a sword fight?" Jeffrey asked. "Ok, I know how to sword fight, I think I can beat you." I said. I pulled a sword from my armory and Jeffrey equipped a new blue glowing sword. He pulled a Kill Bill and cut my sword into different pieces. He bent me over and faced the flat part of the sword near my rear. "This is what happens when you use a terrible sword." Jeffrey said as he beat my butt with it.
He stopped beating me with it. "I see your humor and references are still intact." I said. Jeffrey looked at a small obstacle course. "Let's see who's better at parkour." Jeffrey said. Jeffrey and I just started running. I was ahead of Jeffrey and was doing flips over the small walls, standing on the ledges, and doing barrels rolls. Jeffrey was good at many things, but honestly the guys a big dude and even though the experiment made him a little bit better at acrobatics, agility and speed were not his forte, so I easily won the challenge and we moved onto the next challenge.
I had a simulation challenge where I had a civilian as a holographic hostage with holographic guards. I had objects for cover and weapons for it. Of course me and Jeffrey had to use our costumes to do this challenge and put a circle on our costumes so we could shoot the holograms and they could shoot us. I went first and used my clones to take out guards and hide behind objects so I didn't get shot. It took me one minute and six seconds to do it. When Jeffrey went, all he did was walk into the guys bullets and killed everyone with a single shot from his special pistol. He walked away with the hostage in under fifteen seconds.
In retrospect I should of just used a clone to take the hostage away, but me and Jeffrey were two and two now, and there was only one other challenge to settle this. We had to fight each other. "Don't worry Ian, I'll go easy on a person who can't last five seconds in a sword fight." Blue Samurai said. "And I won't run around a guy with zero speed." I said. Me and Blue Samurai didn't exchange anymore words, we just proceeded to beat the shit out of each other.
Jeffrey could only his sword, and I could only used pistols and knives. Jeffrey swung his sword at me, and I rolled and kick him in the stomach. He grabbed my foot and aimed his gun at me. "Hey, only I can use guns." I said. "You can only use pistols, so take that AK-47 of your back." Blue Samurai said. I forgot about the gun on my back, but I threw the AK-47 off my back and used one of my clones to throw Blue Samurai off of me. Blue Samurai landed against the wall and I aimed my pistol at his head. I shot but he used his overpowered sword to stop the bullets. He swung his sword and put a small scratch in my leg. It was a hot energy sword, so the wound started to set on fire. "Crispy." Blue Samurai said.
I put it out, took out a small blowtorch I snuck into my pocket for this situation, and walked towards Blue Samurai. "Your on fire Jeffrey." I said. I lit Jeffrey on fire and he fell to the ground. He would of died if I actually intended on killing him. I had a bucket of water already laying on the ground for this situation. I poured the bucket of water on him and luckily he wasn't injured, so I didn't need to put him in the healing machine. "Three and two, I guess I'm the better superhero." I said. "There is one more challenge, we can see who has the more tragic origin story." Blue Samurai said.
Blue Samurai and I sat at the table. "I watched my mentor die." I said. "My whole family is dead." Blue Samurai said. "I killed a bunch of people when I was nine and literally took eight years for me to be a vigilante again." I said. "I'm surrounded by darkness and I protect others from it." Blue Samurai said. "I'm the dark one, your a hero with more humor." I said. "Ok, I guess you win." Blue Samurai said. The TV was still on from earlier, so I got to see the breaking news. The anchor talked about Tony Mondollo and a gray figure taking out Lynx Security. I formed a fist out of anger and punch the table. "Crave." Blue Samurai said. "Come with me Jeffrey, you need to meet the new Brian Crave." I said.
Blue Samurai and I left the bunker and headed towards Lynx Security.
