The Cities Virus

I landed on the roof of Mondollo's tower when Blake started talking to me again. "Ian, he has guards everywhere and is expecting Wolf to arrive. Go in quietly or Mondollo will flee town and will never be seen again." Blake said. "I wanted to blow everyone away but I guess your ideas better." I said. I opened the roof door and made my way down the stairs.
I heard two guards walking towards me and used my grappling gun to hide. I was above them on a ledge and when they came under me. I jumped off and stabbed them in the head. I hid the bodies in the closet and made my way towards Mondollo's office.
After eight years Mondollo would be in the ground and a huge weight would be off my chest. He killed my mentor and made me into a person I never was before, he needed to say the word he never said to me. I opened the door to Mondollo's office and closed it behind me. He was writing when I walked in and didn't look up at me when I entered the room. He had a baseball bat next to the door and the door was one of those big doors with opened handles, so I jammed the baseball bat into the handles.
"Is Captain Multi dead Mr.Bordeaux?" Mondollo asked. "No, but Wolfie is." I said. Mondollo looked up quickly with a scared look. "How did you do it, I mean how did you beat that thing?" Mondollo asked me. "Animals are scared of fire Tony, and when I kill you, your going to see lots of fire." I said. Mondollo got out of his chair and walked in front of his desk. "Kid Vigilante, do you know why I became a kingpin?" Mondollo asked. "Bad childhood." I suggested.
Tony brushed back his black hair and shook his head. "Of course Kid Vigilante." He said. "Don't call me Kid Vigilante, he died when you killed Crippler." I said. "Alright Captain Multi. Like all criminals, I had a bad childhood, and was left to fend for myself, and I realized that you don't get ahead in life by being the good guy, you need to do bad things, and I've done many bad things that I don't regret. And the death of your mentor Captain Multi, was no exception to my list of things I don't regret." Mondollo said.
Mondollo quickly pulled a pistol out of his pocket and I spawned a clone right in front of the gun. It took the whole gun clip to kill the clone and when he did run out of bullets, I spawned in another clone. My clone picked Mondollo up by the neck and walked over to me. "Your not winning again Mondollo." I said. I punched Mondollo out of my clone's hands and started to pummel him to death. "This is what happens when you make something personal." I said as I kept beating him.
I stopped beating him and looked him in his bruised eyes. "Had enough you prick." I said. "You expect me to beg for mercy, I don't roll like that." Mondollo said. I heard the sound of a switchblade open and I grabbed Mondollo's left hand before he could stab me. "Big fucking mistake." I said. I dragged Mondollo over to the window and broke the glass. "Open your fucking mouth." I said. He didn't do it so banged his head to the ground and when he moaned in pain, I placed the shards in his mouth. I picked Mondollo up and punched him in the face multiple times.
Mondollo spit out the blood and shards onto the ground. "Tell me Captain Multi, is this how you planned revenge. I mean it sounds like you didn't plan on how you were going to kill me." Mondollo said. "Shut up faggot!" I screamed. "How old were you when I killed Crippler, nine years old, and based on your language and attitude, you're a seventeen year old. Does mommy and daddy know you do this?" Mondollo asked. I threw him the ground and shot him in the foot. The sound of his pain sounded amazing. "The pain will go away Tony, once you say these words." I said. I showed Tony a piece of paper that said I'm sorry on it.
"I've never said those disgusting words in my life, and I won't be saying it today." Mondollo said. I looked over at the cobra tank and dragged Mondollo over to it. "What do you think this cobra will do to you knowing that you kept it trapped for years?" I said. I was going to throw him inside the tank when I heard a knock at the door. "Daddy, I'm home from visiting Riley in the hospital." Lindsey said. If Mondollo could only see his own face as I spawned a clone near the door. The clone took the baseball bat out the door and opened it.
The clone pulled Lindsey into the room and she scream as she saw her bruised dad lying on the floor. "Daddy, what's happening?" She asked. I walked over to Lindsey and Mondollo got up. He limped after me and swung at me. I dodged his swing and kicked him in the face. He flew backwards on the floor and I pointed my gun at Lindsey. "If you don't say those words, your bitchy daughter becomes a headless corpse. "I said. I don't kill anyone under the age of eighteen but I just hoped the Mondollo didn't know that.
"You don't have the guts." Mondollo said. "Daddy, what are you doing?" Lindsey cried. I turnt on the laser sight on my pistol and fired a shot two inches away from her head. "One" I said. "She just a seventeen year old girl, she had nothing to do with Crippler's death." Mondollo said. I shot an inch away from her face and aimed the sights at her forehead.
"You will know what is like to lose another important person in your life if you don't say the words. I already killed your wife, don't let me kill her." I said.
"Alright! I'll say them." Mondollo screamed. I aimed my pistol at Mondollo. "Say those words now." I said. "I'm sorry for your mentors death." Mondollo said. "Good Mondollo, was that so hard to say?" I asked. I walked over and opened Mondollo's mouth. I shove the pistol into his mouth and said "Time to go to Hell." I heard a footstep behind me and the next thing I knew, I was being uppercutted. I flew backwards into the cobra tank. The glass broke as I rushed into the glass and the cobra lunged at me. I quickly grabbed the cobra and blew its head off.
I looked at who punched me, and saw a man covered in grey cybernetic material with green circuits and lines running down him. He had a giant green v on his forehead and chest area. He had grey cybernetic claws growing out of his hands about six inches. "What the hell are you?" Mondollo asked. The Thing looked down at Mondollo. "You don't remember the person you whacked." The Thing said. "I've whacked a lot of people, be more specific." Mondollo said. Lindsey was crying because that meant this person might be on some revenge trip.
"You really don't recognize the person you thought created Captain Multi." The Thing said. I was shocked, I mean I saw Brian die in front of me. "Crave, your still alive?" Mondollo asked while surprised. "I saw you die, I tried saving you but I couldn't get it open." I said. Brian looked at me with hatred. "You killed my wife just because she shot at you, you didn't even hesitate to put her down. You call yourself a hero, but your far from it." Brian said. "I'm sorry, I thought your wife was a bad guy and why would she shoot at me?" I asked. "She didn't like what you were doing to the city, and I didn't either, but I didn't hate you until you gave me a reason to." Brian said.
Brian turnt towards Lindsey who didn't run away. "How's Riley doing?" Brian asked. "He's getting better." Lindsey said. "I want you to know now that I run this city and your dad's helping me now." Brian said. "I'll never let you be in charge of this city." Mondollo said. Brian stabbed Lindsey in the stomach with his cybernetic claws and slit open her stomach. "Noooo! I swear to god Crave I'm going to blow your brains out." Mondollo said. "She needs surgery and I can get her that surgery if you become my sidekick and help me rule this city." Brian said. "Fine, just don't let her die." Mondollo said. Lindsey was on the floor in pain yelling for me to kill Brian.
I shot at Brian twice and the first shot hit him and the second shot phased right through him. Brian turnt towards me. "You think you can just kill me like Melanie? News flash Captain Multi, I have powers and I'm going to use them to take care of this cities vigilante problem." Brian said. I kept shooting at him and all the bullets phased through him. "I can phase through anything you throw at me and control technology, including your communications." Brian said. The speakers in my helmet started sending out an ear piercing screech and Brian started talking through them.
"You think your a hero, well I see you for who you really are, a psycho who thinks his actions are justified by killing bad people,your no better than the people you kill, you are a murderer, and I'm going to murder you in cold blood." Brian said. The ringing stopped and I could hear normally again. "You think what I'm doing is bad, crime has dropped because of me." I said. "And I'll make rise just to ruin your reputation." Brian said. We began circling around the room ready to fight. "People will see you as a villain Crave." I said. "If I have to be the villain, then I will be. It all makes sense why I got these powers, I'm suppose to be your greatest super villain, and a super villain like me needs a new name other than Brian Crave. I'm your virus now Captain Multi, so call me The Virus." Brian said.
I aimed my gun at The Virus as he lunged at me. He swiped it out of my hands and held me by the throat. "Once I kill you, they'll see that there are no heroes, and I'll be in control." The Virus said. The Virus threw me against the wall and charged me. I kicked his face and he grabbed my leg when I went to kick him a second time. The Virus stomped on my leg over and over again. It hurt worse every time he continued to step on my leg. I punched him in the stomach and he went flailing back. The Virus got back on his feet and the lights around him started flickering with intensity.
He grabbed Mondollo's laptop and threw it right at me. I flipped over it but forgot he can control technology, and when I was right over it, the laptop blew up. I hit the ceiling and The Virus took out his cybernetic claws, jumped up and stabbed me in the stomach with them. I was on the floor and had one more shot at taking The Virus down. I spawned a clone behind him and made it hold out a grenade.
The clone removed the pin of the grenade, and it started to tick. The Virus looked at the grenade, and it stopped ticking, but didn't explode. "Like I said, I can control technology including your weapons." The Virus said. The Virus killed my clone and took the grenade. "I can also cause your weapons to work my way." The Virus threw my grenade at me and it blew up about six inches away from my face, blowing up parts of my mask, but he still couldn't tell who I really was. It blew me backwards and I did something I never did in my years as a crime fighter, start to black out.
"Is he dead yet, we need to get my daughter surgery." Mondollo said. "Shut up slave, he'll die after I unmask him." The Virus said. The Virus went to grasp my mask, but I spawned a pack of clones to hold The Virus back while I slowly got off the ground. I carried a tracking device in case Mondollo got away, so I threw onto Mondollo's suit. I had to get out of the building before I blacked out. I limped to the broken window and fell out of it. I grabbed the grappling hook and used it to crash through a window of an abandoned building.
My communications came back online and I could hear Blake's voice. "Ian, What's going on, your vitals are dropping." Blake said. "I don't have time to explain, send my dad to my location." I said. Blake looked at the location screen. "What are you doing in an abandoned building?" Blake said. "Send him now!" I screamed.
I then blacked out and awoke about an hour later in my bunker with Nick, Blake, and my family. I was hooked up to an IV and everyone around me had concerned looks. "Did you kill Mondollo?" My mom asked. "I tried, but The Virus nearly beat me to death." I said. "Who's The Virus?" My dad asked. "Brian Crave didn't die, he was jammed into his antivirus machine and it turned him into a monster. He can phase through objects and cause malfunctions around him." I said.
"So that means your not giving up this life yet." Nick asked. "Not until Crave and Mondollo are dead." I said. "Ian, I'll talk to Crave to reassure him everything will be alright." My dad said. "No! You didn't see him and hear the words that left his mouth. He wants to take over Harbor City." I said. "Fine, but I won't talk to him, but if you need us to help you fight him we will, but after this, you need to stop being Captain Multi." My dad said.
I really didn't want to stop being Captain Multi because the rush felt amazing and I liked protecting people, but Brian had to be stopped and if this was the only way, then I had to quit being a superhero. "Fine I'll quit my masquerade around the city after I kill The Virus. Now I'm feeling tired and need to heal, so I'm going to rest." I said. Everyone left the bunker and I went to sleep and had nightmares about the Virus and almost dying.
