He looks over and sees me

He gets up and starts walking over with this surprised look on his face

He smiles then hugs me

We both laugh
Michael: Can I buy you a drink?
I scratch my head
Me: Uh yeah but it'll have to be non alcoholic
I let out a nervous laugh
Me: I'm trying to stop drinking, for the moment

We go over to the bar
Michael: A Bourbon and a Shirley Temple for the lady

I smile big at him. The bartender makes our drinks then hands them to us. We go over to a booth and sit down

Me: I can ask you the same thing
He smirks
Michael: Oh you know just hanging out; you?
Me: Same but with my sister and her boyfriend up there
I look upstairs and see Claire and Tyler looking at us. Claire had her arms folded with the big smirk on her face. I make a face at her
Michael: And your sister looks mad
Me: Oh she'll get over it
He waves. She smiles and waves back
Me: See? Told you. I'll join them later
Minutes pass. We're just chatting and laughing, enjoying ourselves until my phone goes off. I look at it

Me: Excuse me while I see what my sister wants
Michael: Go ahead. I'm going to get us more drinks

I answer the phone as he goes to the bar
Me: Yes Claire?
Claire: Sam I know he's your crush and all but are you really going to ditch Tyler and I after I personally invited you?
Me: Um Claire do you realize what you just said? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity
He comes back but doesn't have drinks with him
Michael: Hey Sam I'm sorry to do this but something came up and I have to go
Me: Thanks for jinxing me Claire!
I hang up and look at him
Me: Damn that sucks
Michael: I know, I feel like such an asshole

We both let out a laugh
Michael: Hey let me give you my number and maybe we can get coffee or something

We both get each other's numbers. He hugs me after as I of course do the same

He lets out a smile and walks away as I just stand there and watch him go. I snap out of it and go back upstairs where Claire and Tyler were

Me: Shut up Tyler
I sit down with a disappointed look. I look at both of them, they're just staring at me with their arms folded

Claire: You ditched us
Tyler: Yeah what she said
Me: We were just hanging out for a bit. I was coming back

Me: And? That's what humans do Claire

She looks away then sees something shocking? Or surprising? I can't tell what kind of face she's making
