Ding...dong

The door to the restaurant interrupted our conversation, but no one looked up. I was too busy chowing down on Luce's food, that she no longer wanted and Luce and Mason were obviously flirting.

"Did this table want dessert?" A familiar voice asked, making me almost immediately look up.

"Jaz?" I gawked, swallowing my food.

"Surprise,"Mike smirked.

"You knew she was coming?" I asked, dropping my fork.

"Well, obviously. I mean I am her boyfriend..."he shrugged, trailing off.

"Why do you have crutches?" Luce asked.

"The doctor thinks it's a way to help keep my balance since my ribs still need to heal; I'm practically living off of painkillers," she laughed, struggling to slid in next to Mike. As he's a gentleman, he of course helps her and puts his arm around her waist to support her.

"Why'd they let you leave then?" I question, looking at her scrunched face.

"What? Am I not welcome here?" She stuck her tongue out at me, then placed her crunches next to her chair.

"You know what I mean," I stated, rolling my eyes.

"They said I don't need to stay there any longer, all that's wrong are my ribs and those are almost healed. They believe that I need to get up and move around," she explained, grabbing Mikes glass of juice.

"Makes sense," Luce nodded.

"Well, now you can all attend me bonfire!" I proclaimed.

"It's funny you say that, that was my first thought when they said I was being released," she chuckled, trying to catch the straw in her mouth.

"A bonfire, huh? Am I invited?" Mason smirked.

"Nope."

"Ouch, that stung," he pouted.

"You know I'm just kidding," I stated, quickly tying my annoying hair in a ponytail.

"Do I?" He replied, squinting.

"Mason," I breathed and let my hands drop. "You're girlfriend is coming so of course you're coming too," I shrugged.

"Oh, so is my brother," Luce added.

Awkward.

Everyone looked at me as if they were waiting for me to break down crying.

"The more the merrier," I smiled.

"Right... so who's paying?" Mike asked, changing the subject.I  smiled at him to give him a quick thank you.

"Not it," Jake quickly announced, followed by Luce, Mike, Jaz and I.

"Not it," Mason finished, then realising he was last.

"Awe, looks like Mason's paying," Jake chuckled.

"Remind me to never eat lunch with you guys ever again," he groaned.

"You love us," Jasmine called as he made his way to the till. "Or at least one of us," she said, smirking and giving Luce a stare.

"Heard that," Mason yelled across the restaurant, making a few people glance our way.

Authors chapter:

A slow chapter, I know. Just wanted to bring Jaz back to the story somehow.

Now. Good...or sad news, I don't know, the next chapter will be the last! Or I'm still thinking whether I should split it into two...

Anyways, hope you enjoyed the story :)

Also, I don't know what sort of epilogue to write... but I guess I'll just figure that out myself.
