Chapter 28

“Oh thank goodness! See ignacio it’s a good thing we didn’t run that light!” my grandma says making pey and i giggle.

“Mr.Wilson, your wife is asking for you and won’t let us touch her if you don’t go in” a nurse says.

“Of course, romania, ignacio please watch the children for me?” my dad asks my grandparents and they smile and nod.

“You don’t have to ask twice” my abuelo says

“Now go!” my abuela says

“Okay okay, wish me luck! Alright lead the way” he says turning back to the nurse

“You got this dad!” pey and I shout at the same time. I can’t believe that in a short few hours we will have a new member of the family! I am so excited I can barely hold still. We play with toby, and chat with our grandparents to pass time. After three hours of waiting around my dad comes out sweating and we all stand

“Is the baby here yet?” we all ask excited and my dad shakes his head

“No she’s only 5cm dilated so far, it’s going to be a long delivery” my dad says “two at a time can go in and talk with her if you want” my dad says and before he is even finished we race to the room that the nurse had told me when we got to the hospital.

I knock on the door just to make sure i have the right room, and once i hear my moms voice telling us to come in. Peyton opens the door and we go in

“Hi mommy” we say with a smile

“Hi girls” she replies while rubbing her belly

“How are you feeling?” pey asks her as we sit on some chairs that were beside the hospital bed she was in.

“As good as a women about to give birth can feel.” my mom says with a light laugh

“I can’t believe the day is finally here” i say rubbing her belly “hey little one, could ya hurry up I want to meet you already!” i say to her belly and place a kiss on it. Peyton follows saying something to my mom and the baby as well, we pass about an hour with our mom trying to distract her from the pain she's in.

A nurse comes in after a while and tells us she’s only advanced half a cm, and it’s been a hour since we came to see our mom. We eventually leave to give our grandparents a chance to come in, and we let our mom know how proud we are of her and how much we love her.

We head to the waiting room and head down to the cafeteria with my dad and toby. My dad only grabs something to eat and quickly goes back to the waiting room incase my mom need him, so we stay with toby because he was getting bored of being in the waiting room. After a while he gets fussy so we feed him and Peyton tries to rock him to sleep since he missed his nap about an hour ago.

Eventually he falls asleep and we place him in his stroller that I quickly ran out to get from my parents car. We got here around noon and it’s now eleven at night. My mom is still about 6 cm dilated and apparently has a long night ahead of her. My dad tells us to go home so we can be well rested for when the baby comes and we don’t bother arguing. Peyton drives home and it’s midnight when we get home

We get into bed changing into some comfy clothes so we can leave right away when we get the call. I change toby into some pjs and lay him in bed my so I can quickly grab him later.  I go on instagram and see that sebbas is online right now. I facetime him and he picks up immediately.

“Paige, what's wrong? Why are you calling this late?” he asks worried and i laugh lightly

“Nothing is wrong Sebbas, on the contrary i am really happy I say grinning so hard my cheeks hurt, but hey I can’t help it, my sibling is on its way!

“That’s great! Way are you so happy at this hour though?” he asks

“Well a new little member may or may not be her really really soon” I squeal and I hear him let out an noise of excitement

“ no way! Your moms in labour??” he asks excited and all I can do is grin and nod “I can’t believe it! The baby is almost there, what hospital is she at?” he asks and I tell him all the details, he sounds super excited. I let him know shes been i labour for 12 hours and still has a long way to go. After sharing the news we chat quickly because we both know i need the rest. We end the call and I go to sleep, well try to but i don’t think i can. I’m too excited.
