"Yes mom, I know" I spoke into my phone. "Tomorrow. At twelve"

"Okay. Just making sure" She said in a hostile voice. "I don't need your fucking father stealing something of mine when the divorce finalizes"

I chuckled, walking towards the club's entrance. I heard the loud music coming from inside.

"Yeah, I get it" I told her. "Divorces are messy. You need people to help clean it up"

"Exactly honey" My mom said to me. "You're always so understanding. If it wasn't for you, I don't know what I would do without you. I would probably die"

I shook my head.

"Don't speak like that, mom" I said. "You shouldn't let even dad make you feel like you want to die. You deserve better"

"I know that now Y/N" My mom said, trying to comfort. "I've been hoping that it would get better between your father and I but it wasn't. It wasn't and for so long I let him make me miserable"

"He doesn't get to make you miserable now" I said. "You can be so happy now. You can find someone else who makes you more happy than he ever did"

I heard silence on the other line. I was expecting my mom to say something.

"Mom?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm here" I heard her say with her sniffling.

"Are you crying?" I asked her.

"Yes but don't worry about me" She told me. "You worried about me for so long. You cared for everyone else for so long. Take care of yourself tonight. You deserve to"

I smiled to myself.

"Okay mom" I said. "Bye"

"Bye sweetheart" She said. "Happy birthday"

I smirked to myself.

"Thanks mom" I said.

I moved the phone from my ear and hung up the call. I opened my small handbag and put my phone in it. I sighed before opening the door of the club. I walked in, immediately being greeted by Anna who was dressed in a black dress.

"Birthday girl!" Anna cheered, pulling me into a very tight hug. "How does it feel? Being one year older?"

"Umm, the same?" I answered her.

She unwrapped her arms around me and let go of me. Elma walked up to us, squinting her eyes at me.

"You're late" Elma told me.

"Sorry" I said. "My mom was complaining about my dad"

"Ah, divorce!" Elma said with sarcasm in her voice. "Why did your parents have to get divorced at the time of your birthday?"

"Better late than never" I said.

"Darlin'" I heard Harry say.

I looked over to the bar to see Harry looking and smiling at me.

Harry.

Harry, who had short hair at my twenty-third birthday party. Twenty fourth birthday party. I turned twenty-three in 2015. I met Harry three months after my birthday and when I did he had long hair. Long hair. What year was it?
