Beach day

Y/n POV
Me, Shawn (my boyfriend) and some of our friends are going to the beach today. I grab a bad and put 3 towels in, some snacks my phone and some extra clothes. I decide to wear my swim suit with jean shorts on top to the beach. We all get in the car and start driving.
~skip the car ride~
We arrive at the beach and it is absolutely beautiful. We lay down our stuff and I take off my jean shorts so now I'm in my swim suit. Everyone starts walking to the water and I do the same. The water is a little cold but refreshing because its so hot out. I'm in the water waist high when I feel someone grab me. It's Shawn. We start playing and splashing each other. We decide to walk out into the see deeper. I'm already up to my chest when a huge wave comes and nearly drowns me. I feel someone pick me up. "Oh my god babe are you ok" Shawn ask holding me slightly above the water. "Yeah I'm ok. I can swim but the waves are crazy" I say looking out into the water. "Here I'll give you a piggy back ride" he says getting ready. I walk/swim behind him and get on his back. He walks out somewhat far and stops to take in the view. He turns around so we can see back on land. And we see our friends splashing like happy kids. Right now seems like the perfect time to tell shawn something. "I love you" I say in his ear for the first time. At first he's shocked then smiles really big. "I love you too" he says kissing me. We head back to shore and I get off his back to swim a little. As we walk up to shore our friends join us. We walk to our towels and dry off. "Hey guys there's an ice cream stand wanna get some?" I ask pointing to the stand. "Yeah let's go" Brian says and we make our way over. "Hi I'll have (whatever you like)" I say talking to the ice cream guy. Everyone places their orders and we walk back to our towels. After we finish our ice cream we go back into the water one last time because it's getting late. We start playing around and y/b/f/n says to me to do some poses and it turns into a photo shoot. I take pics of y/b/f/n too. "Hey Shawn can you come and pose with y/n for a picture?" Y/b/f/n says grabbing her/his camera. "Sure" he says. "Ok you and y/n are going to be in the water a little more than waist high. The first one I want you guys to look at the sunset and the next one looking in each others eyes." He/she says holding the camera. We follow the instructions and the pictures turn out great. "I think we should head home now" I say grabbing my things. The bathrooms are closed so I put my shorts and shirt over my swimsuit. We get into the car and start driving. Some songs come on and we all sing. I can feel my eyes getting heavy and I lean my head on Shawn's shoulder.
Shawn's POV
Y/n lays her head on my shoulder and closes her eyes. She looks exhausted. We arrive at my apartment 30 minuets later. I put our things in the apartment and go back to the car. "Thanks guys I had so much fun today can't wait to see you all again bye." I say carrying y/n out of the car. "Wait I have to change" y/n mumbles as I'm about to lay her in the bed. "Ok you change you change I'll unpack the bags." I say walking to get the bags. I slightly unpack and head to the bedroom as I see y/n walking to bed with her sleeping shorts and shirt. I walk to bed and lay with her "Goodnight babygirl" I say giving her a kiss on her lips. "Goodnight love" she mumbles hugging me.
