It's me again God,
Thank You for listening to all of my prayers and for blessing me with the fellowship of faithful fellow believers. Today I give thanks for each of my brothers and sisters You have allowed me to know. Paul was always so thankful for Your faithful followers, holding them up in prayer. He made sure they knew this as he wrote this letter to the church at Colossae:
"Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To God's holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters in Christ: Grace and peace to you from God our Father. We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God's people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God's grace. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit."
Colossians 1:1-8 NIV
There is something special about being around people of faith. It's so encouraging to see Your love in action amongst them, just as Paul could see in the church at Colossae. It's such a wonderful witness as Your love is so different to the love of the world —this love has it's source in the wonderful hope of knowing You!
It is such a privilege to know You and truly understand Your grace, Your amazing unmerited favour:
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—"
Ephesians 2:8 NIV
Thank You that Your grace continues to impact every area of my life, even those areas of weakness. I choose to remain hopeful and declare Your Word:
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
Thank You that we have received the good news of the gospel and for the way that it has continued to bear fruit and spread throughout the whole world. May I be Your faithful minister in doing my part to continue the work of proclaiming Your Name to every people group on earth, as You lead me.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.""
