"Vacation date?" Wild repeated unsure if he heard right. He wasn't expecting that kind of answer and it took him by surprise. "Yes, Twilight is my boyfriend." Time confirmed as he held Twilight's hand. "Wow… so much could change and happen in 10 years after all. Congratulations to the two of you." Wild was still a bit stunned but snapped out of it and congratulated them from the bottom of his heart. He was so happy for his friends and as long as they are happy then so is he.
The three of them got in contact with each other again and most days they would meet up to hang out and make up for the years they had been separated until another year has passed. "Pwew~ today has been really fun too huh? Wild was really funny and he seems to like that cashier named Zelda back at the stall we bought ice cream from. Oh and the rides were so thrilling too! I like the coaster!" Time babbled on about how much fun he had at the amusement park. "Yeah.." Twilight answered half-heartedly. He has been deep in thought lately and in conflict with his mind. The reason was because he found himself unable to help but fall for Wild despite how wrong that would be. He didn't want to hurt Time's feelings.
"Earth to Twilight, are you in there? Geez what are you spacing out for? You've been doing that recently. Is there a problem?" Time's brows knitted close together out of worry for his lover. "Sorry, it's nothing.. don't worry about me." Twilight forced a smile as he kissed Time chastely on the lips.
The next weekend after that they decided to visit a resort for a swim so here they are at the changing room "Where's Time? Isn't he done yet?" Twilight asked when he saw Wild come out. "He's still inside changing into his swimwear." Wild answered pointing to where he just came from. "I see." Twilight nodded with a blush on his face as he took the time to admire Wild's features. His beautiful and soft golden brown locks always tied in a single ponytail, those big innocent blue eyes with thick dark lashes, his rosepink lips always looking kissable, and lastly, his pale skin and feminine like curves all exposed right now for him to see. Twilight couldn't help but think that Wild is a gift from the goddess Hylia herself.
"I-Is something stuck on my face? You've been staring at me intently for a while now." Wild couldn't help but blush awkwardly and feel self conscious from the way Twilight has been looking at him. "No you look really cute." Twilight replied as he smirked teasingly then messed Wild's hair by ruffling it. At the corner, Time was watching the entire scene with a smile on his lips. He didn't think of anything about it during that time.
It turned to the point that much later on Wild and Twilight fell deeply in love with each other that they indulged in a secret and forbidden love away from Time's eyes just to be together. 'This is wrong.. this can't go on forever. I don't want to hurt or deceive Time any longer. I'm breaking up with Twilight. I'll tell him as soon as he gets here.' The emotionally torned male was silently crying at the corner of his room. Their childhood photo clutched dearly on his hand. No longer did he want to lie to his friend as memories of the past came back to him. Time was his irreplaceable and precious friend, he might love Twilight so much but this love is wrong and just not worth the consequence of destroying their friendship completely.
"You're going somewhere?" On the other hand Time saw Twilight preparing to go out of their shared dorm room. "Yes, I'll be back soon." Twilight felt a pang of great guilt strike his chest as he had to lie to Time again and again. "Okay then take care." The older male bid him farewell with a kiss on his cheek and a sad smile, though Twilight thought it was just his imagination.
"I-Is he already tired of me? Does he have anyone else he love? Why won't he tell me anything!?" Moments after Twilight left, Time broke down crying on the ground as his knees felt weak and gave up. He already have this strong intuition that something changed in his lover and it has something to do with their other childhood friend. The heartbroken male would ocassionally find Twilight staring longingly at Wild every time the three of them were together. He didn't want to think that his best friend and lover would ever betray him but he couldn't push the doubts away. He needed to know the truth.
"Twilight... let's stop this." Wild's quivering voice was still clearly heard in the silent room as soon as Twilight came to see him. "What do you mean?" Twilight was bewildered frowning confusedly. "I can't bear to see Time heartbroken! And I don't want to deceive him either! P-Please break up with me or I-I'll…" Wild couldn't hold in his emotions as he cried sorrowfully. "Don't do this Wild… I love you! Eversince we were little kids I thought of you as precious! I was so confused about my feelings and because you were away for 10 years.. I grew feelings for Time as well but I-I really love you." Twilight grabbed hold of Wild by the shoulders ready to beg and plead should he need to so that Wild won't leave him. Their love was wrong but Twilight love Wild and he knows that Wild loves him back too but was too selfless, selfless to even sacrifice everything for his friend.
"I want to be with you.. let me stay by your side." Twilight passionately kissed Wild under the moonlit night visible through the window. "M-Mmph..!" Wild tried to pull away but Twilight kept a firm hold of him and he could feel his resolve slowly slipping away again.
The two of them kissed for a few good seconds till they were interrupted by Wild's phone ringing. "It's Time." Guilt was eating at Wild's heart as he saw the name of the one calling on his phone. "Answer it.." Twilight nuzzled Wild as he encouraged him to answer the call.
"Wild? Is Twilight there with you? He said he's going out but he never told me where. I'm worried.." Time's slightly rasped voice came from the other line of the phone and Wild could tell that the male has been crying for a long time. "Tell him I'm here." Twilight whispered to Wild's ear causing the short male to blush dark red. "Y-Yes he's here with me. It seems like he decided to stop by for a visit. Would you like to come too and pick him up?" Wild tried to calmly speak but Twilight's hands roaming his body was making that a difficult task. Soon the phone slipped off from Wild's hand and fell on the ground as Twilight made out with him.
Time ended the call as the line suddenly went quiet. His heart beating so fast against his chest he thought it could explode any minute now. It hurts so much to see his love being taken away by a close friend. By now he had almost made up his mind that those two have a relationship. Unable to cry out any more tears, he took out a copy of the same photo that Wild has. It was the three of them happily smiling and playing. With dry bitter tears staining his face, Time took a marker and scribbled out Wild's face in the photo. 'It would have been better if we have never met him again.' The blonde went to the kitchen and took a small knife putting it on his pocket before he left to see Wild and Twilight.
"T-Twilight.. mm... stop this.. Time will be here any time soon." Wild struggled to get Twilight off of him as he was pinned down on the bed by the stronger and taller male, lips caressing the soft skin of his neck. "Then let him see.. that would make things easier for the both of us." Twilight groaned out of desire. He wanted and needed Wild so badly it was driving him out of wise.
At that exact moment, the door opened revealing Time standing there frozen with wide eyes at what he was seeing. Wild was pinned under Twilight and the two were out of breath with their face flushed. "T-Time please listen to us! This is--!" Wild tried to explain but everything went blank for Time. He couldn't think or hear anything.
'You've met with a terrible fate haven't you?' A mocking voice was all that poor Time was hearing as if it was haunting him. He tried to cover his ears but the voice was still there never leaving him alone. 'Stop trying to hold back.. tear off that fake mask you're wearing and show them your true face. They deserve it after playing with your feelings.' It got louder and louder until Time couldn't bear it any longer. He went closer to Twilight hugging him as tears continously fall from his eyes. Slowly, Time took out the knife in his pocket and stabbed Twilight with it which surprised Wild seeing blood flow out rapidly.
"We will always be together." Time looked at Wild with a broken smile then used the same knife to slice on his own throat. "TIME NO!!!" Wild yelled out as he saw Time collapse on the ground with Twilight's unconscious body.
