Chapter 1:

Dominic's POV:

I straightened up my black tie and gave myself a confident look in the mirror before walking out of the house. My black tux rubbed against my skin as I made my way to the car, my Beta following silently behind me. Unlocking the car, we both got in. Without a word, we drove to the meeting. I could feel the beat of my heart against my chest, the closer we got to our destination the faster it would beat. There were many important men at the meeting, in fact, they were all important. Alpha's and Beta's from all packs have gathered here today, ignoring the rivalries against each other in order to come together over such an important conference no one knows about.

"What could be so important all the packs in America are here?" I asked my Beta.

He stayed silent. He didn't know. I could hear his and my heart beat accelerate as we parked our car behind many other expensive cars along a secluded plain in the forest in the middle of North and South America; it was the exact point in the middle. Over a hundred men were standing in tux's and expensive shoes, talking quietly amongst themselves. A sense of realisation washed over me, causing me to straighten my back and walk forward to our reserved seats. Just as my Beta, Xavier, sat down, all the Alpha's and Beta's took a seat in their chairs, we all faced the podium where an Alpha was standing, waiting patiently.

"Attention all Alpha's and Beta's" His old aging voice called. Everyone immediately stopped the small chatter and paid him the upmost attention.

"My apologies for such a major gathering in such a short notice. Alpha's, your calmness is much appreciated. For all of you to put aside your rivalries for this meeting today is very selfless of all of you. And it is not going to waste." He spoke, looking at all of us in appreciation. "A lone wolf," He started.

"Female, age is unknown, and her location is unknown. Is she dangerous? Extremely. Her strength is worth all of us combined, and it's possible our strength still does not match hers. She was first noticed in Alpha Dale's territory. It was said, she had been in his land without the patrols or guards noticing, then a group of rogues attacked barely a day later. None of the pack members were there in time to defend, but she had killed off the group of four rogues before running out of the territory. No one followed her, no one noticed her for a week." He had gained everyone's full attention, all eyes and ears were focused on the Alpha on the stage, not wanting to miss a word.

Alpha Dale was a strong Alpha, he was experienced, had many allies and was a great leader many Alpha's here respect him. He was not to be underestimated despite his age. And with the news of this wolf managing to enter and leave his territory unnoticed was not to be taken for granted.

"Two days later, she was in Alpha Richard's territory, then Alpha Crimson, then my territory. I'm not sure what she did in their territory, but I know all she did was pass through, without getting caught again, and hours later rogues followed. Both packs fought them, but the she-wolf wasn't there to defeat them this time. She was in my territory. I had sent all my fighters to capture her, but she defeated them all within minutes, just one bite and they went down." Everyone was stunned, shocked and confused. Nothing was making sense.

"No, she did not kill them" He continued. "She simply bit them once, making them unconscious. Within two hours they were all awake as if nothing happened. It has been discovered that she won't kill pack wolves; only knock them out long enough to get away. Barely two days later, a group of ten rogues attacked. I went along with my fighters, but more rogues suddenly appeared. We weren't prepared, we were indeed outnumbered. I was critically injured, bleeding out on the ground with a rogue on top of me ready to take his kill shot, but, he got tackled to the ground by a black wolf" He had a grateful look on his face as he explained his events.
