Chapter 14

Two months later....

"Ya Allah, I'm so tired already" Aidah said to Maryam who had her in her car driving all around Abuja for her wedding preparations which is in less than 2 weeks.

She literally dragged them to every fashion designers shop. At the end they settled in for hudayya couture for all the outfits. And now she's here for her final fittings.

After they finished with hudayya, they went to book the makeup artist and she chose Dazeita, saying she is her friend and her makeup is so nice which Aidah agreed on.

"Seriously Maryam, let's go, I'm so tired I will take uber wallahi." She said.

"Okay okay, one more place and I promise I will drop you home." She said looking at her phone

They have  been moving around for more than four hours! She is so hungry and sleepy. She arrived at cake velvet for the cake tasting and all.

''Ki fito mana." She said to her for the fourth time and she kept saying no.

''Wallah, I ain't coming out, go ahead na gaji''

She shook her head and left clearly annoyed. In no time she came out saying the lady is not around and they headed home. They arrived home shortly and Maryam entered to greet Ammi.

She heard voices all around the house. She went to the living room and saw Ammi and yaya along with some of her siblings and their children.

''Aunty Aidah." Ameera yelled and hugged her, then followed by Noor, Zayd, Aana and the rest.

''Hey little ones, how are you all..i missed you'' She said to them and they answered. Maryam greeted the elders and left.

Iman and Nadia are in sudan with Maama while Mairam went to sokoto with Ya mamma for a wedding, Ya mamma's husband Ya Aminu is from there. Yassine is in Maiduguri along with Khalifa, Mahmoud, Ayman, Abdallah and with mommy.

She went to Amma's room to check on her. "Hey Fatima, how far?." Amma will be going back to the states soon, her graduation is in a few weeks.

''Halima, when did you get back?''

''Just now'' She replied and she muttered an okay then she left to her room.

Ya salam she is so tired, she doesn't think she's ever been this tired. She really needs a break, like seriously she needs to travel after Maryam's wedding inshallah. Besides, she's going back to school for her graduation after the wedding. Inshallah

Maryam really lucky to get a guy like Bash, he's a really good guy. Talking about guys, her Sayyid is in the office the right now, they haven't talked all day today. Their relationship has been going on smoothly Alhamdulillah, he never seize to make her happy. Their 6 months anniversary is next week inshallah.

She removed her abaya and kept it on the couch then stripped off her clothes, wrapped a towel and headed to the bathroom for a hot shower. She came out after fifteen minutes and walked to her closet to look for something to wear. Urghh that's the most hardest part of taking a bath, looking for what to wear.

After five minutes, she finally settled on a blue loose pants and a grey sweatshirt. She packed her hair in a messy bun, put on her glasses and opened her laptop to continue watching the series she was watching, victoria.

She was halfway through the second episode she was watching when someone barged into the room. She paused and looked up just to see her dear Ammi with her hands akimbo.

Aidah gave her a toothy grin. "Ammi na."

''Don't Ammi na me, you came back and you didn't look for me? Have you eaten today?''
