"Kyle, what are you doing here?" I said, getting up off the floor.

"I had the day off and thought I'd pop in and see you."

"Oh.."

"Are you not happy to see me?" His smile turning into a frown.

"No.. I mean yes.. It's just-"

"It's okay. You don't have to explain." I smiled at his words. He always was a kind hearted person.

I felt Sam's eyes on me as I stood talking to Kyle. "Come on, let's go to my office and talk."

"But you're working."

"I can multitask." I shrugged.

"Alright. Let's go." He chuckled, holding out his arm for me. I looked over my shoulder and saw him glaring at us.. Or should I say me? I turned round and I smirked. I was playing a dangerous game here, but I didn't care. I wanted to see how far I could push him. I wanted to show him that he doesn't have power over me. No matter how much he tells me he does.

As we walked into my office, I went and sat down at my computer and carried on typing away while he looked around. "So, this is your office, huh? It's pretty nice."

"Yeah. This is like my little paradise in here."

"I thought your bedroom was your paradise?"

"Okay, second paradise." I said, making him chuckle.

As I worked away and caught up with some more with kyle, there was only one thing on my mind; knowing that he was sitting in his office mad as hell right now. I shouldn't be happy about it, but I am. He doesn't own me. And he never will.

The next day I woke up smiling. After Kyle showing up unannounced yesterday, I couldn't help but feel mischievous. He threw me a glare yesterday that told me I'd pay for what I did. If he had his way, I'd never be within a foot of another man again. Apart from him.

But does he honestly think he can play me? Make me want him? Make me crave him? He thinks he can, but I'm a lot wiser than he gives me credit for. I can push him, yes. I can leave him speechless, confused even, but the one thing I can't do is let him take me for a ride.

My phone ringing brought me out of my thoughts. I took it out my bag and looked to see who it was.

My Mum.

"Mum, this better be important. I'm running late."

And oh how my boss hates it when I'm late!

"Well hello to you to, my darling daughter." I laughed and rolled my eyes at her.

"Hi, Mum. What can I do for you?"

"I'm holding a party for your father to celebrate his business deal going through."

"Is that really necessary? You know how Dad feels about party's."

"I don't care. He's having one whether he likes it or not." I laughed at her antics. My Mum and Dad are like chalk and cheese. They're total opposites, but they get on like a house on fire.

She threw him a birthday party once and he moped around the house for days beforehand. But when the day finally came, he enjoyed it. Maybe a little too much. He ended up passed out in the shower. Lord knows how he got there, but I know he had a good time that day, no matter how much he tries to deny it.
