Jade's POV

I got out of the taxi and closed the door.

It is the next day.

Yesterday I told Katie what happened to my mother and sister.

She believed me.

She was also angry that I had to work near Jessica.

I told her why I still took the job.

Where ever Jessica goes trouble follows.

I don't care how close she is with Jax.

He is in danger.

And I am going to put Jessica in her place.

No one is going to be a victim of Jessica.

Not again.

She has caused me so much pain.

I won't let her harm anyone else.

Hopefully, Jax isn't that close to her.

I shook away my thoughts and entered the building.

I went through the security the same time as last time.

The lady from yesterday was at the desk.

She smiled sheepishly and waved.

I went to the elevator and went to the top floor.

The elevator opened and I could see a full-grown brown Doberman dog sleeping next to my desk.

The dog was on a dog bed next to my desk and there were two large bowls against the wall.

My eyes widened.

That's a big dog.

The sound of the elevator woke the dog up.

I stepped out of the elevator but didn't step any closer to my desk.

My hands began trembling.

The dog got up and sat down.

The dog lets out a small bark.

I jumped.

I love dogs but big dogs really scare me.

The door to Jax's office opened.

Jax stepped out and smiled when he saw me.

"Good you're here." He said.

"Um, why is there a giant dog here?" I asked.

I looked at the dog as it tilted its head.

"Her name is Princess." Jax crouched down and petted her head.

"Interesting choice of name."

"She is going to be your partner." Jax stood up.

"What? That was not the deal."

"She's just some extra help. She can sniff out anything deadly"

"Jax I am terrified of big dogs. I can't do this." I stepped further away.

Jax walked up to me.

"Give me your hand."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

I hesitated but held out my hand.

He grabbed my hand and began walking me closer to the dog.
