Jax's POV

"Nick you need to stop stalking every new employee we get." I told him

"But that's my thing." He said.

"Find a new thing."

"I tried. I have a problem."

"I know."

"We should at least hear what he has to say." Jessica said. "I'm curious."

"It's nothing bad. Just interesting." Nick smiled.

"Is it going to affect her if I know?"

"No, maybe, probably, definitely." He kept changing his answer.

"Then I don't want to know."

I am not going to invade her privacy.

It is disrespectful.

And she'd probably kill me if I found out something she didn't want me to know.

"Come on! This is huge and you know I can't keep secrets."

"Then go tell your stuffed animals." I said.

He gasped dramatically and placed his hand over his heart.

"You promised you wouldn't bring them up!"

"Nick. You own a giant stuffed tiger and it sits on your bedside."

"Leave Kelly out of this!"

"Well, ignoring that, I want to know what you found." Jessica spoke.

"Jessica if you were her friend, you probably know what it is already." I said.

"I'm going to tell both of you anyway." Nick said.

"Go on, Nick." Jessica said.

"Apparently with what I found she had a twin sister!" Nick spoke.

My eyebrows creased. "Had?"

"I know her sister!" Jessica smiled. "Her name was Amparo. I was friend with her too!"

"So you know what happened to her?" Nick asked.

"Sorry, she had a sister?" I said again.

"From what I found, which is not much--"

"But nothing can hide from your hacking." I said.

"I know, it surprised me too!" He continued. "Her sister died before her 17th birthday."

"From what?" I asked curiously

"That's what I couldn't find. Her death went unrecorded."

"Jessica do you know anything?" I asked.

She shook her head. "No. One day the teachers put a rest in peace sign on her locker. No explanation."

"How was Jade after this?" I asked.

"She distanced herself from everyone, including me, so I don't know much."

"Nick, stop spying on her." I said.

"Fine. Excuse me for being curious." He left my office.

I turned to Jessica. "I have a lot of work to do."

"I know baby. I just came to tell you that I'm going o be home late."

"Ok. I'll see you soon."

She kissed my cheek before leaving my office.

I sat down at my desk with a lot on my mind.

How can someone go through that?
