'No way Tabs,' I frowned.

'Meh, they're going to pay me back as soon as they're sober,' she grinned.

I laughed and took the money, 'I'll pay you back. They are idiots, but it's their way of having fun, apparently.'

Tabby arched an eyebrow and both she and Adam waited as I called a taxi then left to catch a bus.

Five minutes later I'd managed to heave Aimee and Mel into a sitting position against the building as I stood in between them. The mob of people had

thinned a lot but I couldn't help praying that some stalker/murderer wouldn't approach us. After all, three girls in revealing outfits were quite the catch.

Especially if two out of those three were completely drunk.

A minute after that I heard commotion on the other side of the door. I have to admit, I did think it would be someone dangerous and almost shut my eyes in the hope that if I couldn't see them, they couldn't see me, but then Nathan King emerged through the door.

He smiled at me briefly but carried on followed closely by the rest of the band members and a large middle-aged guy. They all walked across in front of me and around the corner where there was a car park behind the building, chatting excitedly. I kept my eyes on the ground, determined not to look at another one of them.

How embarrassing...

Even though I was sixteen, seventeen in a few weeks, and I was pretty tall for my age, those guys who'd only been amongst me for a moment had made me feel short and young again. They'd all been so tall, barring one of them, a ginger guy which I faintly recognised from my music class in year nine or ten who was probably even shorter than me.

As a wave of tiredness came over me, Nathan's head appeared around the corner followed by the rest of his body.

I watched him, my heart in my mouth, as he strode purposefully towards me and stopped with barely half a metre in between us. His eyes lowered as he

inspected both Mel and Aimee whose heads were lolling onto each of my legs.

'Hi,' he said with a mocking smirk on his face.

Whoa, he was gorgeous, but by the looks of it he knew that. Well of course he did, he got with every girl he considered worthy.

'Hi,' I replied slowly.

'It's not safe for a girl like you to be here this late, you know...'

I narrowed my eyes, 'what do you mean a girl like me?'

'Hmm,' Nathan grinned, 'well, you're looking very...pretty... There are people out there who might want to take advantage of that...'

I smoothed down my short red and black checked skirt. In all honesty, it showed much more leg than I was comfortable with, but as Sammie said, my legs were quite nice and they didn't get the chance to come out very often.

'I can take care of myself,' I muttered indifferently.

'Okay then,' Nathan chuckled softly, his eyes crinkling the very slightest. 'Did you watch the show?'

I hesitated unsure if it was a good idea to increase the size of his ego then nodded, 'it was amazing. You guys were amazing.' A smile snuck up on my lips, 'I

can't imagine why you're called Epic Fail.'

'Neither can I; Tony came up with the name when we were first formed as a kind of prediction but even though we've now kind of made it, the name has stuck. Don't you like it?'
