HS Version 2 - Ch 1

Sammie's eyebrows rose, 'oh my gosh! Of course, I thought I knew where he was from; you know I told you they attended our school! That's awesome-'

We all turned back to the stage trying to find out the identities of the other guys, but they were all either turned away packing equipment up or in too much of an awkward position.

'Hey, are you guys going home now? Mum said as soon as it finished I had to go or I couldn't come to another one...' Sammie sighed. 'Seriously, it's getting depressing... I don't think she realises I'm legally allowed to get married...'

'Oh, yeah we're going too,' Adam said with a slight wince. He turned to me, 'do you want us to wait until Aimee and Mel get here or will you be okay?'

'Uh, I'll be fine,' I lied. The crowd was getting louder and more aggressive even though the gig was over.

Tabby smirked, 'yeah, sure, we'll walk you to the girl's toilets. If they're not there I think you should just go home. They've probably gotten a little too drunk and left.'

I smiled, 'thanks.'

'Ah,' Sammie rolled her eyes, 'fine, no one walk me to the bus stop then! Go ahead with Sephy...'

Tabby laughed reaching her hand out to Sammie, 'I'll go to the bus stop with you, Adam can go to the toilets with Sephy, happy?'

'That'll do,' Sammie grinned, accepting it playfully. They both waved to us and soon disappeared through the throng of excitable music enthusiasts.

'Right, let's go!' Adam said taking my hand and walking me purposefully towards the girl's toilets.

Once there' he waited outside as I pushed open the disgusting door that smelt faintly of sick and pee. I was sure that was not a good sign.

Luckily as soon as I got inside though, I found both Aimee and Mel standing in front of the sinks applying lip gloss.

'Oh my goodness, guys, really?' I laughed. 'The gig is over and you've wasted half of it applying gloss?'

Both of them giggled and Mel turned to me unsteadily, 'but Persephone, Aimee found such a cute guy! She couldn't not make out with him! And then his

girlfriend came to us and told us we were being very naughty so we got into a little bit of a fight!'

'But I just told her what I thought of her,' Aimee interrupted with a quivering smirk, 'and then I had to re-apply for more! If I could just find him again, do you get me? I don't think you do...'

I rolled my eyes as I grabbed their arms and pulled, a smile playing on my lips. Drunk. They had a tendency to wean alcohol off people.

Once I'd managed to get them through the door, Adam grabbed Aimee and grinned as we tried to weave them through the horde of people. Just as we got outside Aimee struggled to get herself free from Adam and threw up by the side of the poor building. Luckily no one needed to hold her hair because she'd kept it short and dyed white with a few pink highlights for a few years now. A load of people threw abuse at us but Aimee just waved at them with one finger.

'Shit,' Mel tittered lazily before shutting her eyes, 'bad Aimee, ba-ad.'

I winced, 'she can't go home alone...'

'Can!' she murmured.

Adam bit his lip, 'isn't Aimee staying at your house anyway? Just sneak Mel in and tell your parents about everything in the morning.'

I sighed, that was the only option I had. 'Okay, but they won't be allowed on a bus like this... And I have a feeling mum won't be very happy'

Just then Tabby appeared by Adam's side. When he'd told her the situation, though she pretty much guessed seeing Aimee and Mel sitting on the dirty gravel, playing with each other's hair and muttering French, she took out thirty pounds from her purse.
