Our Love Will Last {Hiccstrid One Shots}

For the Dancing and the Dreaming

This one shot is based off of a comic I saw where Hiccup and Astrid were singing "For The Dancing and the Dreaming".
It starts in the late evening and ends in the night
Enjoy.

Third Person P.O.V:
Hiccup had something special planned for that day.
Something very special.
Then, he saw his beautiful girlfriend and smiled.
It was time to put his plan into action.
"Hey Astrid!" He waved her over. She turned to him and smiled. Running over to him, she engulfed him in a hug, which he gladly returned. The village smiled at the young couple.
"You wanna go for a flight?" Hiccup asked once the broke apart.
"Sure," Astrid replied as they mounted their dragons and took off.
"This way bud," Hiccup directed Toothless towards the cove where it all began, Astrid and Stormfly close behind.
They landed on the beautiful beach and got of their dragons.

Taking Astrid's hands in his, Hiccup began whistling a soft tune.
Astrid's face lit up with recognition, as Hiccup had sung her the song before.
Bold is Hiccup, Italics is Astrid, And bold italics is both
(they're doing the same dance Stoick and Valka did)

I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With ne'er a fear of drowning
Hiccup's voice echoed through the cove.
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you would marry me
No scorching sun nor freezing cold
Will stop me-
Hiccup was cut off by Toothless, who started warbling to the tune of the line where Gobber interrupted Stoick and Valka.
Hiccup glared at him and Astrid giggled.
Toothless smiled a gummy, sheepish smile and ducked behind Stormfly. She squawked at him.

If you will promise me your heart
Hiccup resumed singing.

And love me for eternity
Astrid began singing, and Hiccup was soon lost in her voice.

My dearest one, my darling dear
Your mighty words astound me
But I've no need for mighty deeds
When I feel your arms around me

Hiccup smiled and swung her into the dance his parents had performed.

But I would bring you rings of gold
I'd even sing you poetry (oh, would you?)
And I would keep you from all harm
If you would stay beside me
The couple began laughing softly in between lines of the song and danced around the cove. Their dragons tried and failed to mimic their movements.

I have no use for rings of gold
I care not for your poetry
I only want your hand to hold
I only want you near me
Their dance became more enthusiastic and soon they were laughing and smiling while singing.
To love and kiss to sweetly hold
For the dancing and the dreaming
Through all life's sorrows
And delights
I'll keep your laugh inside me
I'll swim and sail a savage seas
With never a fear of drowning
I'd gladly ride the waves so white
And you will marry me!

At the last line, Hiccup knelt in front of Astrid and pulled out a ring he had made in the forge.

"Yes!" Astrid exclaimed and Hiccup slipped the ring onto her finger.
As the couple kissed, Toothless and Stormfly fires into the night sky. Their blasts collided, creating a beautiful fireworks display. But, those fireworks could not compare to those going on in Hiccup and Astrid's hearts.

Done! I hope you liked it. I laughed at the dorky Toothless part.
