"Baby here, go sit down and play." I gave Xiamara her iPad as we walked into the studio.
This was the first night of Xiamarion's tour and he had been in rehearsals back to back. He would even take Xiamara to his rehearsals just so he could see his babygirl.
"Xiamara! Hey babygirl!" Jay said giving her a hug.
"Why is it so hot in here?" I sat down at the soundboard.
"Cause I been in here making hits all day for you. It's fire."
"Great. Play me something. I just need to get this out. Right now."
"I got you just step into the booth sis."
I went into the booth, putting the headphones on, and waited for the music to play.
"Alright. It's all yours."
I just closed my eyes and let the words I wrote the previous nights flow.

All of the memories I've ever had of me and Xiamarion just ran through my mind in that moment. From to first time I seen him, to time we fell in love, to when I lost my virginity to him, to when I gave birth to Xiamara, and up until now. Just reflecting on how things changed for us. I'm tryna figure out if there was a part I played in us falling into this dark place. The love of my life wasn't who I wanted him to be.
