A/N: I love Akaashi Keiji and I want him to be happy, but he's gonna have a rough time in this story. I'm sorry ;-;

Akaashi laid on his couch, bundled in a blanket, staring at nothing. He looked over to the clock which read 4:07. Another day wasted, Keiji, he thought. Well there's nothing for me to do anyways...I'd probably mess something up if I left...I don't want to bother anyone...

Keiji sighed and curled his knees to his chest. He suddenly felt tears build, but he didn't know why. He ignored it and stood. Hoping that walking around would make him feel better. Akaashi walked down the hall and into his bedroom. He took a look out the window. It was storming heavily outside, which seemed to make his mood go down farther.

As he turned to leave, he saw himself in the mirror and gasped. A skinny and pale male looked back at him. His cheeks looked hallowed out, his arms were practically bone, his frame was fraile. Tears ran down his face and he sobbed into his hand. I can't believe I let myself go like this! I look awful...He fell back onto his bed and laid there for a long time. Maybe I should eat something...

He rolled over and tumbled out to his kitchen. He barely had any food. Akaashi found a box of unexpired cereal and poured himself a bowl. When he looked in the fridge, he didn't find any milk. Keiji sighed and went to his couch to eat his plain cereal. Although, he wasn't very hungry for some reason.

Knock Knock Knoooocckkk! Akaashi jumped from the sudden noise, cereal flying everywhere. He tried to be completely quiet and hoped the person would go away.

Knock Kkkknock! He set his cereal down with a sigh and went to the door. Keiji pulled his oversized sweater closer to him and opened the door.

"Hey hey hey!" Boomed a loud voice. A man, taller than Keiji, stood in the hall. The man's hair was matted down from rain and was grey with black roots and some white streaks. His eyes were gold and resembled an owl's.

The stranger smiled brightly at Keiji, and Keiji didn't know how to react. He hadn't had a conversation with another person in a few weeks. Akaashi felt intimidated, but at the same time a little happy. He gave a little smile back.

"Hi," Akaashi nodded. He fiddled with his sweater.

"Hi! I-I'm your new neighbor. I just moved in today actually. I wanted to meet you!" The man held his hand out. Akaashi hesitated before taking it. He's going to think my hands are gross... The new neighbor just kept smiling and looking at Keiji.

"Uh, I'm Akaashi Keiji," Akaashi mumbled, a little smile on his face.

"Y-You have a beautiful name! It s-suits you-uh," Both men blushed awkwardly, "I'm Bokuto Koutarou!" Bokuto's voice seemed to get calmer everytime he spoke. As if he were adjusting to Akaashi's gentleness.

"Nice to meet you Bokuto-san." Akaashi nodded.

"The pleasure is all mine-er I mean it's nice to meet you too!" Bokuto shook his head in embarrassment. Akaashi's smile grew. Bokuto's eyes wandered into Akaashi's apartment. "It's pretty dark in there, do you like it like that?"

"Uh, I guess..." Akaashi felt self conscious having someone look inside his home. He thought it was incredibly messy and cluttered.

"How do you keep everything so clean, Akaashi?" Bokuto was still looking in.

"What? Clean? But it's so messy." Akaashi was bewildered.

"AHaha no you're just trying to make me feel better," Bokuto laughed. When he stopped laughing, the two of them stared awkwardly at each other. "Uhh so do you have any plans for tonight?"
