This chapter mirrors the story of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Hopefully some of you have watched one of the movies or read the book. If not, that's totally fine because you won't be missing anything in my story, you just won't understand the connection between the pieces. Now, not everything is the same and I've created my own ending, but the vibes are the same. Also, the story is set in the 1920's(America vibes I'm sorry) but like being gay is just as normal as being straight. For those of you who do know the story, I've created a character list.

Oikawa Tooru as Daisy Buchanan

Takuma(yes I'm bringin' him back) as Tom Buchanan

Kageyama Tobio as Pammy Buchanan

Iwaizumi Hajime as Jay Gatsby

Bokuto Koutarou as Nick Carraway

Akaashi Keiji as Jordan Baker

It was a dreadfully hot day in June as Tooru gracefully spread across the silk couches in his sunroom. A gentle breeze tousled his hair from the open window near him. He stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep--not because of the heat, but because his mind drifted to a solemn place of pain.

The love of his life had died at the age of 20 in the war. They had grown up as teenagers in love, but the love was stripped from him ruthlessly. Tooru was 30 now and had done his best to move on. He still thought about his passed lover daily, but attempted to get his life moving again by marrying a new man. They were only married for two years now and Tooru had truly loved him--more so in the beginning. He was gentle, caring, and was always thinking about Tooru. He had become mean and more interested in some younger 'friends' in the city.

It broke Tooru's heart further past how shattered it already was.

"Tooru-san?"

The pale man turned his head and smiled at the couch next to him. "Keiji?" He giggled.

His friend, Akaashi, gave him a worried look. "Is everything alright?"

Tooru sighed and put a hand to his forehead dramatically. "It's terribly hot, isn't it?"

Keiji frowned, but nodded.

"My mind wanders in the heat, Keiji. Too much..." Tooru spoke weakly and returned his gaze to the ceiling.

The black haired man opened his mouth to speak, but was distracted by the distant rumbling of voices coming down the hall.

Outside, two men were making their way to the sunroom. Tooru's husband, Takuma, and cousin, Bokuto Koutarou.

"Where are you working, now?" Takuma patted the other man's back with a grin.

"I'm working for a stock company in the city." Koutarou smiled politely and glanced around for his cousin.

"Mm lucrative business, yes?" Takuma slyly raised an eyebrow.

"I guess. A friend gave me the job opportunity and I thought it would be rude to turn down." He shrugged.

Takuma bellowed, "You're hilarious! You know I own several of my own companies, right? I've inherited everything my parents owned." He pridefully puffed his chest out. Takuma had been a prevalent fencing player throughout college, and his body reflected that. He had also participated in track and continued to keep up the work. He had been born with a silver spoon and took heavy advantage of it. He spent his life in private schools until he graduated and took over his family's businesses. The house he built sat in a high class neighborhood filled with movie stars, famous singers, professional sports players, and other wealthy businessmen. It was gracefully sculpted by one of the best architectures Takuma could find and sat along the shore of a crystal blue ocean.
