Saturday came faster then I had thought and since I had agreed to go on a triple date and go to Evan's house I was now left with the task of managing my time. I had texted Evan about meeting early for our project so I could have the evening to go on the date. I was now laying down in my small room awaiting his reply.

My phone gave an audioable beep.

So eager to see me? ;)

I rolled my eyes. Could he not take anything serious? I huffed and wrote down my reply.

Is that a yes?

I wasn't up for his games.

Yeah sure.

I sighed, at least he was being cooperative now.

K. Thanks.

I texted and got up to gather all the stuff I would need. I heard a beep after a while and went to check thinking it was Courtney.

Out of curiosity y do you want to meet up early?

I was surprise to see it was from Evan.

I have a date.

I wrote back getting my books into my backpack. This time the ping came faster then before.

With who?

Nosy much?

None of your buisness. Where do we meet?

He answered faster again but ignored my question.

Tell me who

Dois! he was persistent.

Why do you want to know? where???

I answered and asked once more. I was expecting a fast reply but it took minutes before he final answered.

curious. @ my house

Well at least he answered me this time. Evan's house? I wondered how it looked. Luxcious probably. Curious huh?

Some friends. K

I walked to the kitchen and told my mom I would be off studying with a fellow student at their house. I had already discuss this with her days before so she didn't question it. She was a strict mom sometimes but I knew that came because of where we lived.

I walked off the bus and was greeted with loud shouting from across the street. A couple of guys stood around apartment staircases; drinking and playing some game. I notice the matching tatooes on each of their arms and grew worried. As I walked down my usual alley my startled heart began to beat less. Just because I lived here didn't mean I wasn't scared of all the gang activity.

While coming closer to the bus stop an expensive looking car passed by then suddenly did a U-turn. Before I had time to panic I realized who was driving.

"Hey Anna." Chris called once he stopped next to me on the street.

"Sweet ride. Who'd you steal it from?" I asked only half joking.

"That's for me to know." He winked. "Need a lift?" He asked. I took a second to think before accepting. It probably wasn't such a good idea to walk alone.

"Yeah. Why not?" I said meanwhile asking myself why Chris Lopez, a guy I've barely spoke two words to was now offering me a ride.

"Where to?" He pulled out into the highway. That's when I finally realized I didn't have a clue where Evan lived. I mentally smacked myself.

"Umm...hold on." I said whilst retrieving my cell phone.

It took a while until he finally answered.

"What's up Annie?" he asked in an overly sweet voice.

"I told you not to call me that." I sighed raking my hands through my hair. "Anyways I forgot to ask where do you live?"

"You don't know?" he asked clearly shocked.

"That's why I'm calling you." I scrouched up my face and Chris noticed.

"Hmm I just figured..."

"Yeah yeah look can you just give me the directions." I snapped while Chris gave me a sideways glance but didn't say anthing. Good for him.

"Woah calm down okay." he gave me his address and I directed Chris to it right before hanging up.

"Boyfriend?" Chris asked after a while. I gave him a bemused look.

"What? No, I don't have a boyfriend."

"Right." he didn't say anything more and I didn't question his reasons for bringing up my relationship status. He knew Luis was my last boyfriend, maybe he was digging up dirt for my cousin? I didn't know what Chris was doing.

He gave a low whislte once we pulled up into the neighborhood. "Rich friend."

"You have no idea." I muttered while looking out the window and searching for his house number. I spotted him rather then the house first. Evan's handsome face with his ever entched smirk stood outside his house in just jeans and a light v-neck.

"So still no boyfriend?" Chris questioned.

"Just a project partner." I answered getting out of the car.

"Thanks for the ride." I turned aware of Evan's burning gaze.

"No problem. If you you need me to pick you up you can call me." He offered surprising me. I stood motionless for a few seconds before agreeing. It wasn't as if I could ask Evan for a ride. After getting his number I walked up Evan's drive way.

Evan was looking past me at Chris. "Brother?" He questioned as Chris drove away.

"No. He's my cousin's friend."

"Ah." was all I got.

Evan's house to put it mildly was extravagant. The whole time it he led me throughout the room I couldn't help but compare the two of us. My life and his were so completely different that I felt wierd inside his house, almost like an intruder. I knew the majority of the teens who attended my school were much better off then me but being there; in Evan's house, it made me feel so much more an outsider then I already was. I really didn't belong.

"And this is where we'll be working." Evan's voice interrupted my thoughts and snapped me back to reality.

I walked towards the large mahogany table in what looked like the library room. I looked towards him while he leaned causually against a book shelve. The room was really quite big, I couldn't imagine who would read all these books.

"Are we going to start anytime soon." I said when I couldn't take anymore of Evan's stare.

"I don't know. I'd much rather do something else." he smiled walking towards me.

I fought the blush that was rising. What the hell? Evan was not making me blush!

The closer he got the more my heart pounded in my chest. I felt a hot sensation go through my body. What was this? I had never ever felt like this before and what freaked me out even more was that Evan, the Evan, was making me feel like this.

"So," he was so close I could feel his hot breath in my cheek "what do you say?"

It took me a while to comprehend his words. When I felt his hand touched my hip it suddenly bolted me back to life and the situation. What was I doing? This was Evan. Evan who slept around like it was the last day on Earth. I breathed in and regretted it instantly when his cologne assaulted my nose. He smelled so good I couldn't help but groan.

His husky chuckle made me look up for the first time. I narrowed my eyes realizing what he was doing. He was playing me, I could see it in the slight twinkle in his baby blue eyes, and I had fallen into him.
