i let out a breathy giggle at his message before typing my response

- all will go well now, thanks to super best friend! he cuts all the turbulence and gives all crew coffee to stay energised :0000

i exited our chat to see if alex had responded

i quickly changed the text channel to kwite to see if he had responded, but he hadn't even read my message. i'll just let him know i'm boarding now so he doesn't worry, i thought.

i walked up to the attendant and was escorted to my seat. i put on the third maze runner movie, the death cure, to watch. around 30 minutes in, i fell asleep.

[timeskip]

i woke up, rubbing my eyes and brushing the hair from my face to see a small child leaning on my arm. cute, must have been sitting next to me.

i looked around to refamiliarise myself, before hearing the seatbelt sign ding and flash green.

"attention passengers, as you can see, the seatbelt light has been switched on. please fasten your seatbelts, as we will now begin our descent to California. thank you for flying with (airline)."

i sighed in relief. didn't feel like long, since i slept through the entirety of the flight.

once we landed, i collected my on-board luggage and headed toward customs before collecting my suitcase. after making it through and leaving the arrivals port, i decided to look for my friends.

i wasn't having much luck until i saw two really tall guys surrounded by smaller people. brandon and niall and the others?

i walked closer to see if it was my friends, until i heard a yell and saw them all turn around and start waving toward me. i started walking faster toward them.

excitement took over my body as i started running toward them, dropping my things just outside of the group and going straight for kwite.

he wrapped his arms around me, stroking my hair.

"i missed you." he whispered.

"i missed you too." i whispered back.

"if i didn't know any better, i'd think you two were dating." diesel piped up.

"did you get that on camera?" brandon asked ani before she nodded.

i let go of kwite and went around hugging everyone, not noticing that kwite's cheeks had gone slightly darker. it was good to be with them all. i wish alex was already here.

"alright guys what are we doing first?"

"well, we haven't eaten and neither have you, i'm assuming." brandon said, directing the second half to me. i shook my head.

"so, how about we go for dinner?" he suggested.

"okay, where?" henry asked.

"can we get chinese?" i asked.

everyone nodded in agreement, so we sent my luggage to the hotel and walked around before finding a place to eat.
