Valentine's Day (Request) (Part Two)

The next day at school, I strolled into first period, a little nervous but having my excitement overpower it.

I was one of the first ones there, and luckily, so was Niall. His eyes met mine from across the room, and he smiled.

Confidence shone through my fear, and I waved him over. He stood up from his seat, and I fiddled with the ribbon on the box.

"I didn't get to give you a gift yesterday, so here," I smiled, handing him the small box from across my desk. He chuckled under his breath, untying the ribbon.

"You didn't have to get me anything," he shrugged, a tint of red on his cheeks.

"I didn't spend any money," I grinned, eager for him to see it. He picked out the first thing; a stick of butter. I wrote a note on it, and it said, "We're BUTTER together." I had gotten the incentive from his gifts.

He burst out laughing, and I urged him on.

The next gift was a small packet of tissues, and I wrote on it, "I could look ATCHOO all day." He laughed quietly, glancing at me.

The last one was a mint, and I wrote on the wrapper, "We're MINT to be." He kind of giggled, and I beamed at him.

"Thanks," he smiled, closing the box. I nodded, staring at ground.

"Did you, by any chance, leave a gift for me at my house yesterday?" I asked him, wanting to be sure it was him. His face stayed blank, but I felt him press a kiss to my cheek, making my lungs fail on me.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he teased, smirking.

And I knew without a doubt two things; a) he was my secret admirer, and b) so much more would happen between us.
