A Memory [Sephiroth x Reader]

Memory VI

Location: Midgar

After the mission at Fort Condor the three of you had made your way back to Midgar on the next morning. On the way you all had worked together with some hunters to neutralize the nest of monsters, as ordered.

On the evening of the next day, your comrades and you arrived at the headquarters of Shinra. Once you had given back the motorcycle, you made your report to the competent authority. Exhausted from the fights and the journey, you headed to your room. Thankfully, you didn't meet Zack or anyone else. Tired you opened your door and entered, dropping your jacket on the floor and pushed the door closed.

You checked your phone but there wasn't a message on it, so you laid it down on your nightstand.

"I should jump into the shower...", you mumbled to yourself and got undressed.

As you stepped into the shower tray, you opened the water supply. The hot water warmed you up and you enjoyed it for a few minutes until you washed yourself and your long hair. After that, you dried up your hair and went to bed.

Location: Costa del Sol

A few weeks after the mission at Fort Condor

"Ah! What nice weather! And oh my, the beach! And the girls, wearing bikinis everywhere.", Zack exclaimed.

"You had to say that, hadn't you?", you sighed.

"Nah, come on Diamond, this will be fun, one weekend just relaxing~ Bathing in the sun, drinking alcohol and celebrating from dusk till dawn!", he grinned happily.

"Ugh, this sucks, I don't need a short holiday. The last missions were a piece of cake." You complained bitterly, drawing down your sunglasses onto your nose. With a little gasp, you jumped as someone hit your shoulder slightly.

"Diamond, it is an order from Lazard, and even we need some leisure time every now and then."

Your eyes gazed up into Sephiroths' face, a little understanding smile on his beautiful lips. Argh, there you had to go again, thinking of barmy ideas and such. That he wore casual clothes and had not even thought about buttoning his shirt all the way up made your current state not much better. He was sooo damn well built!

No, you wouldn't admit it that you began to feel something whenever you looked at him. Gosh, he was your mentor and just because he had begun to treat you gentler, it didn't have to mean anything!

"I will snatch some cocktails, want some too?", Zack asked the two of you.

With a short nod, you asked him to bring you your favourite cocktail, after Angeal and Sephiroth had placed their orders.

"We should look for a place to sit down.", you said and walked to an empty space between the other tourists. The two of you laid out the blankets for all. It was a real confusing scenery for you because it was the first time seeing all of them wearing casual clothes.

Zack and Angeal came back and handed you the cocktails. You sat down and toasted with them. With a small sip, you tested the mixture and looked away, as Zack was about to get undressed, only wearing his swim trunks.

"See you later guys!", he shouted as he ran into the sea.

You shook your head and enjoyed your drink... okay maybe a holiday weekend wasn't as bad as you had thought. Eventually, Angeal and Sephiroth got undressed and changed into their swimwear as well. You didn't want them to think you were a creep or anything, so again, you looked away, respectfully.

"Are you gonna come or not?", your heart skipped a frightened beat as you heard Sephiroth's voice too close to yourself. You looked up, realizing that he towered you a little, like he was looking for a bait. You gulped hard and stood up, to diminish this intimidating gesture, but he was just so much taller than you.

"Go on, I will follow right away.", you said and then watched their backs as they were walking towards the water. Damn, Sephiroth you are hot..., you thought and turned a little red with embarrassment. But then you pulled yourself together and finally undressed yourself, wearing a nice bikini in your favourite colour. Tugging up your hair into a ponytail, you followed the three men.

The water was nice and clear, even the temperature was perfect. While the three guys were swimming and chatting, you dived to the ground to look for some seashells. You've never been at a beach as beautifully as Costa del Sol, so now you wanted to enjoy this holiday after all.

A little time later, you wanted to go back to your beach towel, but suddenly you were pulled backwards, into the water again. Complaining loudly, you splashed around and freed yourself out of Zacks grip, who was the troublemaker.

"No, stay here, let us enjoy the water!", Zack giggled and wanted to get a hold onto your arm again.

"Forget it! Now it's war, Zack!", you shouted smugly.

With a swirl, you grabbed his legs and pulled until he lost balance and fell into the water, arising moments later snorting the salty water out of his lunges.

"This means revenge!", he coughed and tried to catch you. However, you were faster than him and got out of his reach. Only to get caught by - surprisingly - your mentor.

"H-Hey, I thought this was a fight between Zack and me, wasn't it?!", you hinted and looked away from Sephiroth, because your cheeks flushed pink. You hoped that he wouldn't notice it, but of course he did, since he smirked a little.

Briefly forgetting your attacker, thanks to the fact that Sephiroth was holding you close to him, Zack tried to attack you both, but Angeal was faster and dragged him under the surface with his steeled body, splashing salty water all over you two.

Coughing, you fought for air and your mentor let go of you. "Now I have to rest for a while, you idiots..."

At your place, you sat down and took a big sip of your cocktail and wringed out your hair. You watched the three for a while and after a little water fight, they were on their way back to your spot. It was really disturbing to see such magnificent soldiers and serious men playing and joking around like other young guys on the beach. They seemed out of place, really.
