A Memory [Sephiroth x Reader]

When your eyes flew open the next time, you were in an extremely clean and sterile environment that you could not recall having ever seen before. So you wanted to get in a sitting position, but it wouldn't work at all, so you looked down your body and your eyes widened in shock. Your clothes and all your stuff were gone, only a hospital gown protected you from being completely naked. Panic arose within you, as soon as you noticed the ties and tapes around your wrists, ankles and abdomen. But you were alone in the room, so you were safe. For the moment...

In the next minutes you noticed something odd about yourself: there was no pain and only strength and power within your body. Suddenly the door to your right opened silently and your eyes discovered an older women, she had to be a nurse.

"Oh dear, you are awake! My, my, what a good health you have!"

"Where am I? And what happened?"

Panic echoed in your voice, as soon as you spoke up. The nurse wanted to calm you down and a few moments later you were free of your bonds. Immediately you checked yourself and discovered that there was no wound, bruise or anything on your body to recount something of the accident with the toxic monsters you had faced.

"Now, Diamond was your name...? Do you know what had happened to you?"

First, you had to nod about your name, but then you had to shake your head to the second question.

"We, the Shinra Corp. saved your life with a very expensive and complex operation..."

You had to interrupt her, because you were curious about that sentence.

"What?! Why would such a well-known company save MY life? I'm nothing more than a monster huntress! I am not worth it, I'm not worth being rescued and operated!"

"Hush! I will explain it to you, but first, you have to come with me, so you can understand a bit better. What our intentions are and what we want from you, little huntress."

You could see the devious smile on the nurses' face, but you were at her mercy, because you could not remember anything about yourself, except the incident with the monsters and the linked mission for gill, oh and your name of course. So you had to follow the older women and ended up being in a very dark and vast laboratory.

Abruptly, your mouth opened, but no word or tone exited it. There were many apparats and other laboratory stuff, you could not even imagine what purpose they were for. You only knew that it was not something that you would want to know in detail. The nurse had strolled to an office desk and waited there for you to come closer. With a very chilly feeling and arising goosebumps, you got to the desk and looked down on an elderly man with round glasses on his nose. His eyes examined you for about three minutes, until he pulled out a folder and handed it out to you. With a raised eyebrow you took the papers and now you looked over them with a blank expression.

"W-Why?"

The voice of yours must have sounded breathless. Your blank expression had changed into a stern one, but as the man explained the documents to you, your expressions switched to an angry one and then turned to something crazy and ridiculous, as if you had lost your mind.

"You doubt me... it is only natural for a normal huntress like you, but it is the real deal. We withdrew you from death himself, because of your extremely high knowledge of fighting and the current condition of your body. I had to inject some really rare materials into your veins and customise your body with some results of my researches. So you could say, you belong to me, because you are my research and test subject."

Now, all of the strange writings in the document and the devilish grinning of the nurse were clear as glass to you. They had only rescued you because no one would ask about your whereabouts and such. They only wanted to use your trained body to test some new researches and examine the results.
