A Memory [Sephiroth x Reader]

Memory III

Location: general quarters

After the conversation between Lazard and Sephiroth, the latter got the order to show you your new room. Because the disciples of the SOLDIER 1st-class's had to stay near them, they got a separate room opposite of theirs. Since you followed Sephiroth with a respecting gap, you could survey him. The first thing that you had noticed about him, was the fact that he wasn't a communicative person. The second were his impressing muscular built and the really silky looking silver hair. And the third thing, that your heart would stop beating immediately, every time when his cold cyan coloured eyes looked at you.

Without a clue, why you would be intimidated by him, you almost stumbled into him, as he suddenly stopped in front of a door. As he glanced at you, you could see his raised right eyebrow and you quickly looked to your feet - slightly embarrassed.

"This will be your room from now on, until you're ready for your promotion to 1st-class. If you need something, my room is this one." He pointed towards the door opposite of yours. Then he handed you a card and you accepted it without thinking.

"My number, if you have to contact me. I'm out often, because of many missions, but feel free to call me if you need to."

With a small nod you finally looked at the small business card.

"I can't hear you", he suddenly commanded.

"Umm... yes Sir!", you quickly answered back. Now, it had become apparent to you that he was also a very strict person. But when you looked up, your mentor was gone.

5 am.

The the next morning you awakened well rested, because of the bigger and softer bed you had gotten in this new room of yours. With a yawn you got up and jumped in well-tempered shower. Once you were dressed in your 2nd-class uniform, you left your room and suddenly bumped into someone.

"My bad! Sorry!", you exclaimed quickly. Then you recognised Zack. "Huh, good morning Zack! Are you feeling any better today?"

"Yeah, thanks to the emergency doctor. Don't blame yourself anymore, Diamond. Hey... wait a moment, why are you here?!"

"Because yesterday Lazard made me Sephiroth's mentee, so apparently, I also live in the 1st-class' quarters now", you explained but before one of you two could speak on, the door next to you opened. A tired looking Sephiroth left his room.

"Morning", the two of you greeted him without any further thinking, that you had forgotten the additional title. So the silver haired man frowned at both of you.

"And once again you are feeling on top of the world aren't you Sephiroth?", Zack laugh.

"Is he always like this, early in the morning?", you asked with a little chuckle and joined in the small teasing because you couldn't resist. Sephiroth's facial expression got even darker at that comment. Now it was Zack's turn to burst out in laughter.

"Poor you, she will shatter your short thread of patience straightaway!", the young man laughed tearfully.

"Gosh Zack! Shut up! This sounds like I am a pain in the ass!", you immediately complained. "Besides I am older than you so don't spread rumours about me. Have a little respect."

"Oh, how would you know?", Sephiroth said flatly. With a wide opened mouth and a sharp inhale, you looked up into Sephiroth's face. Now more than ever, Zack burst out into loud laughter and enjoyed the quarrel.
