Looking Bad

Its been months. Pretending to love this madman. Felix calling me every day... Me not allowed to answer.

"Good morning sweetie."

I said gritting my teeth with a fake smile.

"Good morning sunshine!"

Ughh. I have to remember im doing this to save lives. The moment i can leave this hell-hole without harming anyone. I will.

"What are you making for breakfast today?"

I smiled at him and said

"French toast."

Knocking then erupted at the door.

Shane immediately shoved me into the bedroom.

Technically this is kidnapping and he's worried all the time that i will tell.

"Where is she? Why did she leave me let me talk to her please!"

Felix! I crossed my fingers i would get to speak to him. I wouldn't tell him what happened for his safety but i would feel much better seeing him.

"Shes in the bedroom. Come out here, honey!"

I walked out from the bedroom and held in a gasp when I saw Felix. He looked terrible! He had somewhat grown a beard and he looked so tired.

"Hello Felix."

I smiled at him trying to be normal. Shane put his arm around my waist and it looked like Felix wanted to cry.

"Can I talk to her in private, please im begging you Shane!"

Felix sounded miserable. I hated Shane I hate this!

"Sure. Why not?"

Shane was trying to make it look like the happy couple we weren't!

I led Felix to the guest room and sat him down on the bed.

"Hello."

I muttered. And then as soon as I knew it Felix had planted his lips on mine. I had to push him off. I missed this so much. I love Felix not Shane!

"No! You.... You cant do that Felix! Were done. Im with Shane now. Im sorry."

He shook his head in disbelief.

"No you wouldn't just leave me like this without calling or texting! This isn't you! Its shane.!"

I looked away.

"Thats it isn't it! He's forcing you to be here! Ill get the police ill help."

He jumped up. And i pulled him back down.

"No, Felix! I chose this I- I love him."

I got up out of the room and he followed behind like a lost puppy.

"Felix I think its time for you to go."

Shane says and slightly pushes him out the door.

After he's gone Shane grabs me by the arm and pushes me down.

"What did you tell him?"

He got up in my face, his breath smelled awful.

"I told him I loved you and him and I were over."

He got back up and sighed.

(Several days later...)

"Im going to the store don't do anything while I'm gone!"
