So I initially requested this but then decided to write it. It was also originally about Dean, but I decided to change it to fit Jack instead. This imagine will be from Jack's POV for a change.

I'll be going through editing all of my current imagines as soon as exams are over and I'll also start posting more.

Jack's POV
I'm only a year old, although I look older, and in that year I've fought monsters, including my father, but I've also fallen in love in that time. I had to let her go because being with me was dangerous and I couldn't let her get hurt. I'm still in love with her, and I think I always will be, but I know I did the right thing by letting her go and be safe.

And now I'm on a hunt with Sam and Dean. Sam found the case online. They said that a "ghostly figure" was terrorising locals by trying to communicate with them. None of them were hurt; however, many are traumatised and scared to go outside, so Sam and Dean decided to check it out and salt and burn the body before anyone does end up getting hurt.

But this isn't what I was expecting. I wasn't expecting to see my ex-girlfriend and love of my life, dead and a ghost... she shouldn't be dead... she's too young and innocent and she had nothing to do with any of this. She can't be gone. I can't help but wonder how she ended up dead before me. We broke up so that she was away from me and safe, but now she's gone... maybe she would've been better off with me after all. But why is she still here? Why is she a ghost? I've read the lore about them, and I know they can be provoked to stay by feelings of anger, sadness, guilt and confusion, but also love. So maybe she was holding out to see me before she let go.

"Y/N?" I ask as soon as I see her appear.

"Jack?"

"What happened to you, Y/N?"

"How did I end up like this? I was driving home from working late one night, and a drunk lorry driver ran me off the road... the car flipped, and I died instantly. Then the next thing I knew I was awake again, and now evidently I'm a ghost. I don't I'm still here, with the living, I must subconsciously be holding onto something. Maybe it's you, Jack." She says with a small smile.

"I'm so sorry for everything," I tell hero, suddenly feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt by being reminded of how much she loved or loves me.

"Jack, you have nothing to be sorry for."

"I broke up with you."

"I know... it's okay. I think I understand now. I think you were protecting me from all of this, ghosts and monsters and things. I've learned a lot about monsters and the supernatural since this happened and I think I get it now. I've realised that the late-night calls you've had were about a different job to what you told me, hunting. I wanted you to come and find me here; I wasn't sure if the case would interest you and I wasn't willing to hurt anyone to get your attention, so I just had to hope it worked."

Y/N and I carry on talking for a while, and Sam and Dean left us to it and gave us some privacy to catch up.

"Y/N I already had to let you go once I can't again. I know you know we're supposed to get rid of ghosts because we're hunters but I just can't. I love you. I want to help you."

"Help me how Jack?"

"You have powers; I want to teach you to use them."

"Why?" She asks me, and I hesitate before replying.

"Because I have powers too. I was taught how to use my powers."

"You have powers?" She asks with a confused look on her face.
