I was feeling giddy with all those margaritas I had. Nakailang glass ba ako? Ten? Twelve? Gosh! I can't even remember.

I stood up, trying to open my eyes to where I'm stepping. I can hear faint murmurs and laughters.

Damn it! I won't ever get drunk this much again.

My eyes went wide because I almost fell face flat on the floor if not for the guy's strong grasp on my waist. Napahawak ako ng mahigpit sa braso ng lalaki. His manly scent mixed with alcohol and smoke filled my nostrils. It's too intoxicating.

"Thank you." I was able to say before my eyes went wide upon seeing the guy holding me.

Fuck! What the hell is he doing here?

"You- You! What are you doing here?" I stuttered, eyes squinted while looking at his dark face.

His brows creased. Hinila niya ako sa isang tabi.

"Go home, little girl. You don't belong here."

Hah! He doesn't know me. I always belong to a club. It's my sanctuary, my escape place.

Tumalikod ang lalaki sa akin. Nainis ako at binato siya ng hawak-hawak kong purse. Lumingon siya sa akin. I stood frozen when I saw how dark his expression is. He looks so livid as he inched closer. Napaatras ako hanggang sa mapasandal sa madilim na parte ng club.

"You don't know who you're dealing with, little girl. Hands off or I'll cut that in pieces."

Naiwan akong natitigilan dahil sa sinabi niya. Napatingin ako sa sariling mga kamay. He'll cut this off? Ibinaba ko ang mga iyon at itinago. Fear started to creep on my veins. Bakit parang may katotohanan ang sinabi niya? Is he a murderer? A psycho?

Pinulot ko ang aking purse at agad na tinalunton ang daan patungong labasan. I need to follow him. I need to know who he really is.

I slipped inside the car not minding my throbbing head. Hinablot ko ang isang bottled water sa dashboard at agad na ininom. This will do for now. Mamaya na ang gamot pagdating ko sa bahay. It's almost twelve when I parked my car outside our house. Napatingin ako sa kabilang bakod. His car is already there.
My eyes went up. The lights are still open on the second floor. It must be his room. Naglakad ako palapit at hinubad ang suot kong high-healed shoes. Dahan-dahan kong inakyat ang gate. I was too careful not to be caught in between. Pababa na ako nang sumabit ang laylayan ng aking damit. I almost fell down but I was able to hold tight on the side part of the gate. It didn't rattle. Good. Ayaw ko namang mahuli sa gagawin kong kapangahasan. I'm so curious. And I hope this curiosity won't lead me to my death.

I tiptoed my way towards the front door. Inikot ko ang door knob. It's locked, as expected. I bit my lower lip as I think of another thing to do. Umikot ako hanggang sa nakarating ako sa backdoor ng bahay. Dahan-dahan ko iyong inikot. I almost shout because of joy when it opened. I push it carefully. My heart's too heavy because of excitement and fear.

I can be a thief if I want. I'm sure mommy will go berserk though. I'm their only child. Tapos magiging magnanakaw lang naman pala ako? Funny.

Inilibot ko ang paningin sa buong kusina ng bahay. It's too modern and classy. Mayaman nga naman kasi ang dating may-ari ng bahay. Didiretso na sana ako papasok nang mapatingin ako sa isang spiral staircase. I was left dumbfounded after seeing him descending from it, topless and with muscles in the right places. And his abs? Is that eight? Binilang ko and it's really eight. Sinundan ko siya ng tingin. My lips parted when I saw a naked lady sitting in the couch.
