Luna turned from her locker only to be tackled in a hug by her best friend who was smiling brightly
"I haven't seen you since last week, I went over to your house to watch a movie with you, you weren't there, Tessa told me you were at a friends house more specifically the Cullen's, those best friend stealers are hogging you!" Avery exclaimed, but Luna could tell she wasn't actually mad
"They're not stealing me, your my best friend, even though your crazy, and openly opinionated, you are also smart, smarter than you know, you don't judge me for any dumb decisions I make"Luna told Avery who chuckled but still pulled Luna in for a hug
"I wasn't actually mad but thank you for your dramatic speech as to how much and why you love me" Luna shook her head but froze as she looked over Avery's shoulder
"Holy mother of cheese balls"Luna whispered, eyes wide, and mouth parted open as she stared in shock
Avery furrowed her brows, just as she was turning to see who was behind her, Luna suddenly hurriedly pulled her into an empty classroom
"Wha- what's happening"Avery laughed as Luna went around the room closing the binds before coming to stand with Avery again
"That Mother trucker!"Luna glared down at a desk, Avery snorted loudly at Luna's choices of words so she wouldn't have to actually cuss
"He's back...he broke my heart and he's back"Luna muttered, her voice getting loud
"Woah, who?" Avery asked, as she sat on the teachers desk while swinging her legs back and forth
"Danny, and god, he's still hot"Luna seemed frustrated at herself rather than Danny
"Who is he again?" Avery frowned in confusion
"Before i met you...he was uh my best friend, since diapers, aunt Tessa was best friends with his mom And that lead to me and Danny growing up best friends but one day we started to feel something for each other...he was the closest feeling to love, and maybe it wasn't actually love...but it was love to Me, i Uh thought that I could trust him because I knew almost everything about him" Luna felt her eyes water causing her to laugh while fanning her eyes with her hands
"But then I caught him with another girl, I think that it hurt more, because I trusted him completely and we knew each other almost all our lives and the fact that he could do that, was just heartbreaking to me, he left to visit his dad for a while but it seems he's back"
"Aww, he didn't Deserve you" Avery pouted and pulled Luna into a hug
".....why do you smell like onions "Luna's voice came out muffled as she asked, Avery paused and tried to casually sniff herself
"I was eating onion rings" Avery admitted after a second of silence
Luna laughed and walked away from Avery to the door
"C'mon class started 3 minutes ago" Luna chuckled and linked arms with Avery as they walked down the halls

Jackson was walking with Nathan into lunch, which they didn't share with Luna and Avery
"I've got to talk to you about something"Jackson sat in front of Nathan, placing his tray of food down on the table
Nathan furrowed his brows and looked up from his phone
"Whats going on?"he questioned as he lifted the donut and took a bite, Jackson stared nervously at Nathan before looking down
"So...you know about my crush on Luna right?" Nathan narrowed his eyes at the mention of his crush on his sister but still nodded
"I was wondering if you would let me...ask Luna out on a date"Jackson winced, it wasn't like Nathan was glaring at him or anything like that, the only thing he was doing was staring blankly at Jackson, but Jackson knew how protective Nathan could get
He peeked an eye out and saw Nathan just staring and slowly relaxed in his seat
"You want to ask Luna out"it wasn't a question and Jackson knew so all he could do was nod hesitantly, Nathan was silent
"Okay...you can ask her out"Nathan smirked, Jackson smiled and thanked Nathan

Luna narrowed her eyes at Danny who was walking down the hall, he looked so calm, unbothered by everything around him that was until he caught sight of Luna's petite body leaning against the lockers trying to stay out of sight
Her long wavy chestnut colored hair flowed to the side since her head was tilted, her blue eyes wide as they locked eyes before she walked away with a flustered face
While Danny himself was in shock as he looked around the crowded hallway for Luna, he paused before walking away too
Luna who was hiding behind a vending machine slowly backed away from her hiding spot before turning and abruptly stopped as she came face to face with Jackson
"Woah..you okay?"Jackson hands wrapped around her waist to steady her as she tripped
Luna laughed "Yeah, I just thought I saw someone, what's up"she smoothed down her now almost wrinkled clothes
"Listen...can we talk" He nervously put a hand behind his neck
"Of course, you sound serious, what's on your mind?" Luna frowned as she noticed the nervousness In his tone
She pulled him down into a nearby bench with her and turned to face completely
"I barely see you anymore since your always with your new friends, it's nice to just talk to you alone for a bit like before" Luna frowned and turned her head away,
Had she really been around the Cullen's so much she barely hangs out with her best friend and even Jackson or Nathan who she used to regularly hang out with
"I..I'm taking a big risk, but If there's a chance then I'm taking it...Luna, will you go on a date with me?"Jackson's whole face was full of hope and Luna's whole face was filled with surprise
Luna had to admit she had a thing for Jackson a few years ago but she wasn't sure if she still felt that way towards him, there wasn't anything wrong with Jackson
He wasn't ugly, he was far from it, he was kind and supportive and funny and thoughtful but as much as Luna wanted to say yes, even if it was just to give it a chance and see if it could potentially go somewhere, it felt wrong and she felt so guilty
Jackson stood there waiting for a response, Luna stood there, mouth gaping but just when Luna was about to let him down gently, her eyes caught Danny's figure walking towards them, and she couldn't stop herself when she let out a
"Okay, let's go on a date"
