Luna walked to her lunch table and placed her tray of food down before sliding in her seat, she picked up her fork and was about to take a bite but stopped when she noticed Avery staring at her with narrowed eyes
Luna shrugged it off and swallowed her food before opening her mouth "what?" She asked, Avery continues to stare, but eventually stopped and shoved her burger into her mouth
"Your different" Avery states, Luna looked at her confused
"What do you mean?" Luna questioned, Nathan and his friend Jackson sat down next to them. The lunchroom getting louder as students piled in
"What happened" Avery asks Nathan, ignoring Luna's question. Nathan looked at Avery with furrowed brows
"What are you guys talking about" Jackson asks only to be shushed by Avery who continues to stare at Nathan
"Uh What's going on" Jackson whisper to Luna
Luna smiles at Jackson "I don't know, she thinks somethings wrong with me" she whispers back at him but keeping her eyes on her best friend and brother who were now both talking in hushed voices Occasionally glancing back at Luna
Whereas Jackson was looking towards his longtime crush with longing eyes
"So What are you guys doing after school" Luna asked Jackson though Nathan joined in hearing his sisters voice
Jackson shrugged and smiled shyly at Luna "probably help out at the bakery tonight, you coming?" He asked Her, Luna nodded and smiled at him
Luna volunteers at the bakery and spends her weekends there often, Sometimes she would even walk dogs
"How about you Nathan" Luna asked her older brother and stole a fry off his tray when he wasn't looking
"I actually met this girl two days ago, she's really pretty too and I invited her over today after school, I told her I needed help with some homework and she offered to help" Nathan told his sister, Luna beamed at him giggling softly, while Jackson smiled and clapped his back knowing Nathan wasn't really the one to fall for anyone considering his trust issues so this girl must be pretty special if she caught Nathan's attention
"Hmm really?, whats her name" Avery asked him bitterly, Luna shot her a look to which Avery ignored
Nathan cleared his throat "uhm her name is Leah"he replied a pink tint appearing on his cheeks
Luna grinned at her big brother seeing his blush" Aw your blushing!" She pinched his cheeks, Nathan slapped her hands away though and rubbed his cheeks, Luna giggled at that
Avery stared behind Luna and gaped at whoever was approaching their table
Rosalie sat in the empty chair next to Luna, Emmett sliding in next to Nathan since there wasn't any seats left next to his mates
Luna's laughter came to a stop realizing someone joined them
"Hey Luna" Rosalie's silky voice greets Luna
Luna grinned at Rosalie and Emmett who both smiled softly at their mate
"Hey rose! Where's your siblings"Luna asks her eyes roaming the lunchroom for the rest of the Cullen's
"They had to do something today so they couldn't come to school" Emmett told Luna, well it wasn't exactly a lie they weren't at school today because they were trying to buy food and prepare for when Luna arrived at their home
Rosalie's eyes drifted to Jackson who stared affectionately at Luna, she glared and shifted closer to the oblivious brunette, Emmett rose a brow at Rosalie but all he received was a glare
"So Luna, i was thinking since we are partners for Spanish and we're doing a project, you should come over and we can do it there" she asked her mate, Luna looked to Nathan for permission. Nathan eyed Emmett and Rosalie but reluctantly nodded, Luna's face lit up
"Yeah sure, where do you live" Rosalie chuckled, telling her she would pick her up after school before Emmett and Rosalie hugged her goodbye and left
Nathan sighed, picking up his tray and threw it in the trash, kissing Luna in the forehead before heading to his last class
Jackson cleared his throat making Avery and Luna look at him
"Who were they?" Avery scoffed and left the lunchroom still slightly annoyed about Nathan meeting another girl
Luna smiled at Jackson but didn't answer and left the lunchroom too
Jackson huffed
