Lucy's POV

"Look who decided to join the party." a voice that I know too well says. I immediately sit upright in bed and cover myself as much as possible.

My heart stops as soon as I see Ian sitting on a chair in front of the bed and Anthony pointing a gun at his head. I get up to try to do something but he quickly points the gun to me and tells me that if I don't sit down he'll kill me immediately so I follow his order.

"Don't hurt him, please." I beg, "I'll do whatever you want me to but please let him go."

"And why would I do that?"

"Because this is not his fault!"

"Yeah, you're right. It's yours!"

"Don't listen to him!" Ian says, which makes Anthony punch him.

"This is your fault. I gave you many opportunities to make the right decision but you always chose him. You always chose the wrong man and now you have to pay for that."

"What are you going to do?" I ask, scared.

"Well... at first, I thought I could kill you but what would be the fun in that? You wouldn't suffer that much, would you?"

"Then what are you going to do?" I ask him.

He looks at Ian and I with a sickening smile and I immediately realize what he's going to do.

"No!" I cry, "NO!" I reply, shaking my head.

"Open your eyes!" He screams and fires the gun before I can say or do anything.

"NO!" I scream before I get up and run to Ian, catching him before he falls to the ground.

"This was not your fault, Goose. I'm sorry." He whispers, "I l-love you." He says before he closes his eyes.

"No, no, no Ian. Don't close your eyes. Stay with me!" I say between sobs.

"This is an adorable moment and I'm really touched but I have to finish what I started." Anthony says. "Believe it or not, I never wanted this to end this way but you gave me no other choice."

When I turn around to try to understand what he's talking about I see that he's pointing the gun at me and quickly realize what's going to happen. I take Ian's hand in mine, and seconds later the gun fires again.

*

I sit bolt upright in bed, shaking, with tears running down my face. I immediately look around to make sure Ian is here, safe. As soon as I make sure everything's ok I get up and run to the bathroom, not wanting to disturb his sleep. He's the sweetest, most caring man I've ever met and even though I'm sure he wouldn't mind I don't want to be a burden.

I sit down and hug my knees, trying to muffle the sobs that are leaving my mouth. The nightmare felt so real... I can't stop seeing Ian's body lying on the ground nor stop hearing the way he said he loved me right before he closed his eyes.

I have no idea how long I stay in this position, staring at the wall in front of me, before I hear someone knocking on the door. A few seconds later the door opens and my eyes lock with Ian's.

"Oh Goose." He says, and I start crying harder. He sits down beside me and I immediately wrap my arms around him, wanting to make sure he's fine and actually here.

"It's ok. You're ok. I'm here." He whispers multiple times, hoping it will help me calm down.

"No, it's not. I'm not." I say, "He killed you... and he made me watch it." I cry. Ian looks at me, slightly confused, and I start telling him about the nightmare.
