Meet Me At The Park [Chapter 7]

“I’ll be back soon”

It had been 8 days since we had last seen Beau, no calls, no texts, no letters, no messages, no contact what so ever. Jai and Luke said not to worry and he will be home soon, but I couldn’t help but worry, I had fallen for Beau... AGAIN. I couldn’t just let him go, not again, I can’t go through that. I had been sleeping in Beaus room for the past 6 days, hoping one night id feel him crawl into bed with me, but it never happened. I just needed him to come home. I walked out of Beaus room when I heard arguing, I stopped in my tracks just to hear what was being said, “Logan! Don’t you dare hurt him! Just come here and we will give” it went silent

“No, no, no, meet me in the park” the person started again, I’m pretty sure it was Jai.

“Don’t shit talk Logan! Bring Beau; I’ll give you the 30 grand, at the park, 1:30”

I walked into the lounge room and sat on the lounge, Luke was on the ground, and Jai was sitting at the dining room table, “so… what was that about?” I asked not looking at either of them

“Nothing” they both said, exchanging worried looks

“Didn’t sound like it” I simply stated before getting up and walking into the kitchen, they were definitely trying to hide it, and I was going to the park whether they liked it or not.

I went and had a breakfast, then went for a jog and then came back and had a shower, before I knew it, it was coming up to 1 o’clock, it would take me 30minutes to walk to the park, but only 10 to drive, but Luke and Jai would use the car to get there so I’d have to walk. “I’m gonna walk down to the shops, I need some new make-up” I smiled at the boys,

“Why don’t you take the car, will you be back in 20 minutes?” Luke asked not taking his eyes off his laptop,

“No, I don’t think so, it’s fine, I’ll walk” I smiled before heading out the door, towards the park. I ran half of the way and then walked, I was about 5 minutes away from the park, I could see a car coming, it was Luke and Jai. Fuck. I jumped into the closet bush until they had passed, they couldn’t see me here, as soon as the cost was clear I jumped out and continued walking, I saw their car pull up, and in the middle of the car park stood a guy in denim jeans, slightly ripped at the knees, a tight singlet and his blonde shaggy hair was everywhere, he looked disgusting. Luke approached him, Jai following closely behind, he shook his hand, like they were mates? But I soon realised that he had put a check in his hand, I moved a little closer sitting on a bench outside the park.

“Luke, this is only 30 grand, its 40 grand” I heard Logan say,

I saw a car parked slightly around the corner, all the windows were tinted, I just had a gut feeling to go over to it. I ran over making sure no one saw me and looked into the side window, there on the floor was Beau, I opened up the sliding door, it was surprisingly open, he looked horrible, blood stained his arms, legs and face, he had cus and bruises all over him, and rope tied his wrist together so tight they where cutting into his skin, “shhh” I said in a soothing voice, picking him up.

I was surprised I could actually pick him up, I closed the door, and ran, don’t know where I was running, but I just ran. I ended up at another little park in the woods, It was anbondon, I knew we were safe here, I untied the rope to let his arms relax, I then took him into the little bathroom, there was running water, I took off my jacket and wet it to use as a towel, I cleared up all the blood of him, ‘A  moment of love, a dream, a laugh, a kiss, a cry, our rights, our wrongs, a moment of love, a dream, a laugh, a moment of love, a dream, a laugh’  blared through my phone, I handed my jacket over to Beau and he continued cleaning himself, it was Luke

“Hello?” I said unsure of what I was about to be told

“If you’re at home, you need to leave, now! Logan is going over now and is going to rip apart anyone in there, his looking for Beau, he escaped when we were in the middle of doing a deal” He said very quickly, panic filled his voice

“Don’t get angry at me! But I took Beau” I trailed off… the next thing I heard was Luke scream down the phone asking why I was even at the park, I knew I was going to get caught out, damn it.

“I’m sorry!” I screamed back at him, “where not at home, where at the old park in the woods” I said softly trying to hold back my tears, Beau hugged me.

“don’t move, okay?” Luke spat before hanging up.
