Jimin's POV

My shoes leave deep imprints in the murky muddy soil as I take one step closer to the one person I truly loved.

Every step I took brought me just a tad bit closer but as I near my destination, I begin to feel nervous and light headed, my thoughts spiral outta control as I'm constantly reminded about that faithful day.

I stand and stare at the large stone laying in front of me, softly weeping as I re-read the imprinted text on the surface of the stone.

It was buried deeper into the soil due to it's lengthy years, the surface of it had already began peeling.

I draw in a deep breath before I lower myself, the soil swallowing my knees as I kneel in front of the gray block.

I reach my cold hand out to touch the curve of the stone and immediately I feel her presence and her spirit zoom through me.

"Hi mom."

Mother nature seemed to have heard me since, right there and then, a warm breeze zips through the air, sending my hair and scarf blowing in the same direction.

I raise my face towards the sky, squeezing my eyes shut and inhaling the crisp air and the slowly approaching rain.

I looked back at the stone, carefully scanning every feature it held; the days she was born and taken.

Even a picture of her beautiful face.

I assumed that this life would've been too much for her to swallow, judging by how appa used to describe her to me when I was younger.

Since that day, two years ago to be precise, we'd never spoken to each other.

He never called after I left.

Subsequently, I moved into the apartment he'd stay in when he was away on his trips.

Surprisingly, he'd allow me to live there.

Even allowing me to sign it in my own name a few months into my living there.

He was more than determined to keep me away from him after what he saw.

I'd say I wouldn't blame him but then It'd also be like saying I blame myself instead, which I don't.

I did, however, truly missed them both.

Dad and him.

After appa found out, I'd broken all ties with Tae in hopes that he'd accept me back as his son.

But no matter what I did or say, his heart hardened towards me.

He wanted nothing to do with me and said the same for my eomma, which is why I was where I was today.

Beside her, waiting for her thoughts on such.

For some reason my mother was the only one I felt I could trust, even though she wasn't here in person.

Her presence filled me every time I visited her.

I sat close to her grave and leaned my head against the stone, my tears now fell sideways across my puffy cheek.

"Eomma," I began, "I'm sorry for disappointing you when I was but a mere hormonal teen boy." I chuckled lightly at the mention of hormonal and boy.

"Eomma please tell me you still accept me even when I committed the mindless act of falling in love at too ripe an age. Appa doesn't love me anymore. He says I've become a disgrace when he found out about me. But please, please don't let it be that you share his views as well."

I couldn't hold it in any longer and I let the tears spill from my eyes in one go, soaking my collar as tears slid down in big fat drops.

I sob loudly, not caring who saw, if anyone was passing by.

I finally get up from the dirt, brushing the excess off my ass before saying goodbye to her.

I wrap my arms around myself as I trudge through the lifeless burial ground.

As I approach my car, I notice a tall man standing beside it and admiring the exterior as though it were the future's next best thing.

"Excuse me!" I call to the strange man, my arms now folded across my chest as I eye him carefully. "Who are you and what do you want?"

His hair was in loose black waves around the back of his neck.

His back had been facing me so I couldn't identify him.

Until he turned around.

I studied his face, scanning for any familiarity.

He had brown highlights streaking through his black waves and piercing brown eyes. Full pale lips that were pursed into a small grin.

A mocking grin.

I gasped loudly, clearly shocked when I realized who I had been facing.

"How's life, Park?" he smirked.

"I-It's you."
