The group needed to know what Buffy was planning.
Yet, Jeremy was keeping his mouth shut.
"How is he?" Damon asked as he walked into the Gilbert living room where Giles was currently cleaning Ric's face of blood while Elena and Jeremy sat in different corners of the room.
Jeremy in no way wanted to be near Elena right now.
Elena sighed and glanced over at Damon "He's dead, but he had his ring. Klaus's hybrid hit him. Now we just wait."
The mention of the resurrection ring caused Giles to frown, his interest in this type of supernatural growing. Picking up Ric's hand his eyes examined the ring closely.
It was astonishing.
A cheat code.
"Rather amazing. Almost a way of equaling the playing field."
Damon chuckled and tapped Giles on the back "Yep, no matter how many times I snapped his neck he just came back." He paused before turning toward Jeremy "Jeremy, why aren't you wearing Vervain? Where's your bracelet?"
Instead of answering, Jeremy just shrugged.
He could already see the torment and guilt in Elena's eyes which normally led to Elena trying to have his memory erased in an attempt to protect him.
He was 19 now, Elena needed to stop treating him like a baby!
"Tyler took it. Luckily, I drank vervain yesterday."
Damon groaned as he remembered back to what Klaus had said to him "Klaus is trying to send us a message. He wants us to find Buffy, who stole the coffins of all his dead family members."
Spotting the lack of shock on Jeremy's face, Damon narrowed his eyes.
Unlike her brother, Elena had no idea what was going on. She merely sputtered in shock.
How could Buffy have done this?
"Coffins?"
"Yep. So all we have to do is find 4 coffins and voila. No one else on your family's Christmas list has to die." Damon admitted his eyes still glued to the very silent Jeremy.
Jeremy knew something, he could feel it.
Unaware of the silent argument going on around him, Giles just shook his head. Stealing the coffins was not something Buffy would do.
At least not something the old her would do.
"If Buffy knew what had just happened she wouldn't still have those coffins."
Damon groaned "Look, I don't know Buffy's gone bat-bat crazy after her little chat with Mary and Katherine."
Elena's eyes widened at that "What the hell does that mean?"
"It means that Stefan was looking for her and before he went all radio silent he managed to tell me that Buffy wants Revenge. Klaus did something to her, more than any of us know."
Sick of them acting like his struggling sister and her trauma were the problem, Jeremy clenched his jaw before standing "Leave her be." He hissed shocking everyone in the room "She wants to kill Klaus let her! If any of us have reason to want him to pay it's her."
While he still didn't know the details, he wasn't an idiot.
He knew something had happened to her, something more traumatic than just crawling her way out of her own grave and having her entire life turned upside down.
Elena quickly shook her head "Jeremy, if we don't talk her out of this, you're at risk."
When Jeremy snorted Damon clenched his jaw.
"Jeremy, what do you know?" He hissed, causing Elena and Giles to freeze as they turned to Jeremy who just continued to glare at Damon furiously.
"I'm not telling you."
Elena sputtered in shock "She told you what she has planned?"
"Yes. She needs this Elena, I know you buy her fake smiles but Buffy is fucking miserable! If she needs this to keep going I am all for it."
She had made sure to keep him safe and had eyes on Elena at all times. Plus, he knew for a fact that if Ric hadn't been wearing his ring she would have been here.
Klaus wasn't going to kill anymore she cared about...he had spent too long trying to get close to her.
As Damon approached him intent on ripping whatever information he could out of him, Giles quickly blocked his path while Elena focused on her brother.
"Hey, Jeremy calm down, just tell us what Buffy is up to so we can stop her."
