Annapoorna looked on hopefully as Mrithyunjay cleared his throat to ask for something. She continued, "I know why you are here. After everything that both of you have been together, this is the only logical conclusion. You wish to ask my daughter's hand in marriage?"
Mrithyunjay said in a low and resolute voice, "If whatever I have ever done for all of you means something, allow Aparaajitha to follow her own mind and heart. Set her free from your bonds of affection."
"You could have asked for anything. Why did you have to ask for this? I will never forgive you", said Annapoorna with anger and fury lacing her expressions. "You may never get an opportunity of asking for what you really want in future."
Mrithyunjay poignantly replied, "It is alright. True love comes from freedom and not bondage. I would rather have her flying high in the free and open skies than have her tied and bonded to me forever."
