*Emma's POV*

It was cloudy and cold Monday. I sat on my seat waiting for the first class to start. "Hey everyone" It was the teacher, and she walked to her desk where she put down her books and the test results from a test we had last week.

"We have a new student in class" A hot brown-haired guy walked in, he was tall and was wearing tight jeans and a black t-shirt.

The other girls were already screaming in excitement. "I can't believe it it's Alex Floyd, here in our class." My best friend Claire was a huge fan of Alex.

"Hey, My name is Alex Floyd as you probably know since I'm on top 3 best popstars in the world." "You are so sexy!" I turned around and looked at a classmate who said it.

When I looked back at Alex, I saw that he was looking at me and smiling. I looked away. "Okay, Alex you can go and take a seat back with Marcus." Alex did as the teacher said, and on his way to his seat, he flirted with the girls.

Urgh how can girls like that guy, I mean sure he is hot and an excellent singer but he is just a playboy. Besides a poor girl like me would never have a chance on a rich guy like him.

I worked focused during the whole class, but Claire couldn't stop asking me and talking about Alex.

*Time skip*

School ended, and I was waiting in the schoolyard because, Claire, Sophie and I agreed to walk home together.

"Hey, sorry we are late, but you won't believe who stopped in the hallway to say hi to Claire and me." Sophie looked excited. "Let me guess... Alex?" They both nodded.

"He is so cute I mean his eyes, face, body everything is so attractive," Claire said as we walked home.

Here are some facts about me. My name is Emma Ellings, and I live on a farm outside town... My family is so poor, and I work 24/7 and have bearly time to be with friends.

I have a younger sister named Victoria, and my Mom is named Leah Ellings, and my fathers' name is Tom Parker, but he changed it to Ellings.

I am 17 years old, and it's my second year of high school. I have a horse named Lullaby, and he is a beautiful black rabicano Arabian horse, and I love him more than anything. He was born three years after me, and we have been best friends since then.

I have this secret that no one knows I haven't told my parents, but there is a myth they kept telling me when I was young. I always thought it was real, but I was a kid and believed almost everything I heard.

When I got older, I stopped believing in that myth or story, whatever you call it, but now I have a small feeling that everything is real.

Okay where were we, it is Monday, and it just started to rain like hell, and it was so cold outside. My friends had walked home, but since I lived outside the town I still had to walk for at least 20 more minutes... "Hey, need an umbrella?" I looked around, and just 1 feet away stood Alex.

"Thanks, but no need, I can handle some rain." I wasn't exactly kind to him but how should I react I didn't have that many friends that were boys. Alex was super rich, and his house was around 15 minutes away from mine. I could see the house from my farm, and when I passed the house, it was a huge villa.

"Okay, but You'll probably get sick" Why did Alex even care about someone poor as me. "So...? I'm pretty used to it, cause I don't have one at all" I looked at him, and the rain got heavier. "You don't? An umbrella bearly cost something so how can you not have one? Well unless you are poor" He laughs.

I want to be mad, shout, scream, to punch him to show him that you shouldn't joke about that. "I am that poor! So don't joke about it!" Alex looked at me with a surprised face "I-I'm sorry I didn't know" "Yeah right" I continued walking home and he walked behind me because he had to.
