8 | A not so great family reunion

Skye POV~

I can't believe I told them. I had never told anyone one about that besides Lyddia. I half expected sympathetic looks and them telling me that they are sorry for my lost. They did the opposite. They told me that there's always a light at the end of a dark hallway and all I had to do was walk to it. That I was a car and this a was a bump in the road.

I was thankful for them. Talking about my childhood opened a wound I wouldn't really ever able to heal by myself. But maybe, just maybe, with there help it would finally heal. Because they always tell you to always walk through life with friends then to walk it alone.

Lyddia and I made a home in our little forest. When you walk through it for a while, you'll find a cozy cottage, completely hidden from view. It had an upstairs and downstairs and was perfect. We took swims in the waterfalls, of course inviting Percy, and fed all the little animals living around the forest. They were so cute!

There were pink bunnies with neon yellow stripes and bright green phoenixes.In our spare time we created a garden, one filled with exotic plants and fruits. Now we are no daughters of Demeter, but Lyddia and I managed to keep it alive. Plus we had our own sprinkler system via Percy. It was peaceful for a while, until we were told about what happens on Fridays.

Lyddia POV~

It was early Friday morning , when we got the news. I was just turning over some soil in my garden for peppers when Nico came running over. How? Well, we each just said " I allow Nico, Percy , Thalia, to enter my forest until I say so," and presto they can come in. Hey you know, I really like pizza.  Oh and grass. You know when you have that really soft grass that, woah getting off topic. Stupid Adhd.

Anyway, Nico ran to us and told us to come to center. I wonder whats going on. I jumped from stone to stone until i finally reached the center. The trio had smiles on their faces. They had an excited glint their eyes and I felt a little awkward because I had no idea what was going on. 

Thalia spoke, " Ok I can tell you ," pointing at me," and Moongirl are confused (Moongirl? I thought). So you see, on Fridays we kill monsters. That's why we are so excited. As you can tell we don't leave our forests and all our energy gets all built up , so we release it all on Friday. Our goal is to obliterate all the monsters in a five mile radius. Kapeesh?" 

"Wow, Thals. Learned some big words I see," Nico snickered. 

"Shut up, Deathbreath," Retorted Thalia.

"Make me , Pinecone Face,"

" You wanna fight, Zombie," 

"Oh I would love to , Thunder Brains."

" Will you two shut your traps? Gods, can't you shut up for like three minutes. I will make you guys stay here and miss out on Friday Killings," Percy warned them, smirking. 

" You wouldn't," Nico and Thalia said.

"Oh you know I would." The two shuddered, as if missing out on Friday killings would be that horrible. " Ok, now gear up, we leave at 3. This is going to be fun!"

After gearing up and grabbing my sword, I met up with everyone at center. Thalia and Nico seemed to have gotten over their argument because they were doubled over laughing at a joke that Nico just said. They were telling jokes about Annabeth, like how do you get a twinkle in Annabeth's eye? You shine a flashlight in her ear. Or, What do you call a smart Annabeth? A dyed brunette! I started laughing myself and saw Percy full out rolling on the floor with tears in his eyes from laughing so hard.

"Guys, you need to write me a book of those." Percy told them wiping his eyes.

He then got serious. "Everyone got their armor and weapon?" Percy asked us. We all nodded and he smiled. " Then what are we waiting for? Let's go show these monsters what we can do!"

We exited the forests and entered a normal forest. One with normal trees and normal plants. Basically boring compared to ours. We set to work, Skye and I fighting better than ever before, we have been practicing in the last week with the beset sword man in the last 300 years , did you not expect us to get better? We slashed and stabbed everything in our way.

I glanced over my shoulder and saw some bad ass looking demigods. Percy was surrounded by a hurricane and seemed to be half there and half not, almost as if he was made of mist.

Nico had a force field of darkness around him, shadows attacking any monsters who got too close. Thalia had a storm brewing over her and was floating in the air, winds swirling around. Basically they were the definition of awesome. 

By the time we reached our goal, the sun had set and fireflies whizzed around us. We were wiping our weapons to clean off all the monster dust, when a bright flash emerged in front of me. I shut my eyes, blocking out the light. When I reopened there stood the 14 Olympians, in all their glory.

Thalia POV~

I sneered in the Olympians direction, especially Zeus'. "What are you guys doing here?" I barked.

"What can I not visit my daughter and her stupid cousins?" Zeus said in mock sarcasm. 

"Leave," Skye said and I could have saw Artemis look t her in surprise. Bet she didn't expect her to be here.

" And who are you puny demigod, another worthless tool?" Zeus laughed.i saw Skye's face turn as red  as a firetruck in anger. She pulled out her bow and notched an arrow.

"This is for calling me puny," Skye said,, sending a celestial tipped arrow fly and land next to Zeus' face.

" And this is for calling me a tool," Skye yelled in rage and this time her arrow made contact with skin. And that skin happened to be in the middle of Zeus' forehead. Everyone gasped , except our group of course, they probably thought she was terrible at archery and would be to scared to shoot at their "King". 

As everyone was still in their shock, Percy, Nico, Lyddia, and I took that as our cue. We unleashed our power on them. Percy made water hands wrap around everyone then turned it into rock hard ice, Nico released shadows at them all, Lyddia started to say a spell, and I electrocuted Poseidon and Hades, knocking them out. When we got our desired effect of scared little gods, we smiled in triumph.

I rode a cloud ( I had gotten over my fear of heights) with Lyddia and Skye, and Nico and Percy mist or shadow traveled away. Hopefully the gods won't come looking again, but knowing that they're are not the smartest they will most likely regroup and attack once again. I sighed, looks like we have to create a battle plan too.

On Olympus.....

 Third Person POV~

How did they do that? That was the million dollar question. Everyone kept running it through their heads, but it just didn't make any sense. How could these meaningless demigods gain so much power in what, like four months? Most demigods in their position would pend their days bemoan their fate and feel sorry for themselves.

I mean, they were the all-mighty gods, who wouldn't whimper in fear? ( A/N Raises Hand). Well, Zeus though greedily, we now know exactly where they are and this time I will send the hunters. Those good-for-nothing demigods will wish they were never born! Which, they never should have been.

While writing this, I am really starting to hate Zeus a lot more. And I already hated him! Since my summer vacation has started ( well on Friday it did) I will hopefully be updating more often! So yup! Here's today's update!
