To my disbelief, the Count has gone in the night. Without word or a suitable sendoff, he snuck away, almost as if he were never here. With luck, I have a photograph stored in the film of my Graflex camera that speaks otherwise. I plan to send it on to the Bureau of Investigation as soon as possible. Although it is an unlikely scenario, the Count could be analogous to myself and was in Central America doing reconnaissance for the enemy in order to find a suitable location to store artillery. Shame, truly, as I quite enjoyed his company.
