Ever so quietly so no other surrounding people can hear he mumbles, "Yes, she looks beautiful." George is pleased with his response, but I know better. I feel a hand against my lower back that guides me away from the pair, although I look back to see a redness on Fred's face. I mentally smirk, happy that I make him so frustrated.

Because of the fact that I am not the tallest girl out there, I make my way towards the front of the clustered group of couples to watch the Champions dance.

I spot Cedric enter with the smart Ravenclaw girl named Cho. Hermione gains the attention the moment she comes in with Viktor by her side, who looks proud to have Hermione as his date. Fleur enters with her date before Harry shuffles in with one of the Patil twins.

Harry struggles with the steps and is unable to wrap his head around the concept of a waltz too as he steps on his date's toes multiple times. I want to look away in pain because of how lacking his technique is. Instead I have to chuckle at his clumsiness throughout the entire dance.

Others seem to feel his pain as well, so multiple couples fill in the empty space on the dance floor to join in the whimsical waltz. George and I are one of those pairs as we elegantly step in 3/4 around the other champions and their dates.

I wonder if this smile will be permanent the whole night and slightly question if it will give soon since I can feel someone's eyes burning holes into the back of my head. I do not bother look around because I have nothing to fear tonight.

Time passes as George and I slow dance, enjoying moving together on the dance floor. Dancing feels so easy with him, so I enjoy every dance we share.

The slower dances end all too soon when the band comes on stage to rock out, so George and I make our way over to one of the tables to sit down for a break. He leaves to retrieve drinks for us, and I decide to listen in on Ron and Harry sitting by their lonesomes.

"You reckon he is just using her right?"

Harry looks at his mate with disappointment evident in his green eyes, "You need to stop dwelling over the fact that she isn't here with you."

Ron rolls his eyes frustrated with his predicament, "Blimey she's not as intelligent as people think-"

Before he can finish his sentence, Hermione exhales as she sits by them in a trance, "Viktor has gone to get us some drinks. Would you care to join us?"

Harry sends a warning to Ron, but Ron is just too stubborn, "No, I do not care to join you and Viktor." Hermione's smile washes off her face and is replaced with an angry frown.

"What's got your wand in a knot?" she musters out through gritted teeth.

George sits back down next to me with our drinks in hand and starts talking about the song being performed right now, but I still tune in to the trio without realizing it.

"He's a Durmstrang. You're fraternizing with the enemy." He is so immature, no wonder Hermione is breathless around Viktor.

I can tell by Hermione's voice that she is already fuming, "The enemy?" She retorts back, "who was it wanting his autograph? Besides, the whole point to the tournament is  international magical cooperation- to make friends." I silently cheer Hermione on as she stands up for herself against Ron, who is being the biggest prick right now.

Instead of letting it be, Ron has to open his mouth yet again, "I think he has a little bit more than friendship on his mind." This sets her off even more, so she stands up, clearly wanting to get away from him. Instead of saying something in return, she pauses before walking off angrily.

A voice interrupts my listening in, "Don't you agree?"

My eyes snap towards George in a second, "yes of course."

A lighthearted chuckle fills my ears, "Do you even know what I asked?" Before I nod my head, he keeps going, "What's got you so distracted?"

I will my ears away from the drama between Hermione and Ron, giving my full attention to my date now, feeling slightly bad. "Nothing to worry about." I offer a small smile that is convincing enough since George drops the topic.

We decide to dance to some upbeat songs, not giving a care in the world as we let our bodies instinctively sway to the music. Most people around pant slightly from all the jumping and movements as I am able to keep my composure without one heavy breath.

I feel like the night flies by as I let my mind and heart be filled with happiness. I don't even acknowledge how uncomfortable the feeling is or how it makes me want to fully feel this moment with my emotions turned on.

Towards the end of the ball, the band exits the stage and the music is replaced with some orchestral music. George's hands rest on my hips as I loosely hold onto my left wrist with my right hand at the base of his neck, where I can feel the blood pumping through his veins.

I can feel the small black veins form under my eyes, but I make sure to control it within seconds by reminding myself that George is not someone I want to feed on, or hurt for that matter.

"Tonight has been magical George, thank you for making it so memorable." His brown eyes lock with mine as I start to hear another bicker coming from the exit.

"Of course m'lady," he responds in his posh tone. I giggle, but his face turns serious as I attempt to not fully listen into the conversation being held outside the grand doors now, "I'm really glad you agreed to go with me."

I raise my eyebrows in confusion, "Why wouldn't I want to go with you?"

His shoulders lifted upwards slightly in a shrug, "because you are the new, yet confident girl here that all the guys fawn over and here I am dancing with you tonight." My heart feels pulled towards his as he speaks these words.

I mentally sigh because that is something Elliot would say to me if he was here with me right now...I let the thought go since I don't want anything to ruin this night for me.

"You are one of the only people here who actually wants to get past my walls in hopes of getting to know me. I respect that more than you know." The corners of his lips curve up and I know I can trust George-or at least he is the person I trust the most out of everyone in my life at the moment.

He takes a deep breath as he places his forehead gently against mind as we softly sway to the simple beat. This movement surprises me, but doesn't bother me one bit. "I want to get to know you more Alexia...in more ways than one."

In the distance, I hear Hermione cry out at Ron before I hear her stomping strides leaving the Great Hall. I bite my lip as I make a decision moments away from feeling George's lips on my own. "George-there's something I have to do right now."

The distance decreases between us and his eyebrows furrow in confusion while his eyes hold disappointment. "I will be right back before the last dance I promise." I can tell he is still slightly down so before he knows it, I swiftly place a kiss on his lips before quickly walking out of the Hall to find Hermione.
