preparation for the wedding

ATALANTA's POV

"you may now kiss the bride" shirou said

and the newly weds happily kissed each other

3 days ago, shirou encourage me to watch this wedding since he will be the priest to officiate the marriage ceremony. this is to give us an idea what the wedding looks like these days.

achilles wanted to come and see this wedding but he is busy with something. he's not in the garden of babylon's lately.

a large bouquet of flowers is headed in my direction and my reflexes suddenly strikes and i catch them.

the crowd cheered

"there was a mistake. im a tourist." as i try to give the bouquet to someone else.

"no, you can take it." the bride insisted

"atalanta, it is rude not to accept" shirou said

"i see. thank you for the flowers" i replied

"dont you have a boyfriend?" the bride asked

"im getting married soon" i really dont know how to answer the question to begin with. but my answer is a fact

"really, when?" the bride asked

"we havent decided yet" i answered

i dont know when will i get married. im not in a hurry. it was achilles who asked me to give him more time because there is something he needs to do.

"i see. well, i wish you a lifetime of love and happiness" then the newly weds went back to celebrate

happiness huh?

i've been rarely happy

i headed back in the hanging gardens of babylon and semiramis notice the bouquet in my hands

"you can have it if you want to" semiramis happily accepts the bouquet

"make sure you will also give to me your wedding bouquet" semiramis said

"you can have it too. i dont think mordred will be interested in that" i said

semiramis is the one who is more excited of the wedding. she volunteer to do the preparations of the wedding. from the venue, to food and etc.

semiramis is my bridesmaid. my wedding gown is simple but her gown is more fanciful. it is as if she is the one who is getting married.

i was on my way back to my room when semiramis asked "arent you curious what achilles is up to?"

"you know something?" i asked

"i do" semiramis answered

"then what is it?" i asked

"why should i? after all, i would love to see the look in your face if you found out" semiramis chuckled

"what are you scheming?" i asked

"nothing. you should get some beauty rest." semiramis then leaves

"where are you achilles?" i murmured

from a far, i can see shakespeare happily writing 

evening came, it was my turn to guard the flying fortress

it was already 1 o clock when i noticed achilles chariot arriving in the flying fortress

"you're awake, atalanta?" achilles was surprised

"achilles, im on duty today" i answered

"oh, i forgot" achilles answered

i went back on my duty when achilles grabs my hand

"atalanta, come with me" then achilles brings me to a place where we can see the whole gardens.

the moment i went to face back achilles, he kneels and takes out a ring

"a wedding ring?" i was surprised

"atalanta, it's our engagement ring. i'll get your wedding ring soon" and he places the ring in my finger

"is this the reason why you're not here?" i asked

"i've been taking jobs so i can buy you a ring" achilles answered

"you could have asked semiramis for a ring" i said

"no. i will let that queen sponsored everything but not this ring. this is the only thing i want to work for."

as achilles slowly places the ring in my hand " i want you to remember me everytime you see this ring in your hand

FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HANGING GARDENS 

SEMIRAMIS POV

"those two have slowly become lovebirds. dont you think, caster?" i asked Shakespeare who's been with me while we spy on those two

"as he slowly puts the ring on the maiden's finger" Shakespeare murmured

"achilles, i want to be fair. is there something you want me to get for you" atalanta asked

"that's interesting" i said

and i noticed shakespeare's eyes sparkling as he waited for achilles answer

"can i have your body..." and achilles got hit in the head

what a fool. he ruined everything. 

i checked on caster and he was overjoyed from what he saw. can this be counted as tragic?

"atalanta wait let me explain" as achilles chases atalanta

"i will get you something. so if you had something in mind pls. tell me." atalanta said

achilles was silent

"i see. so you cant think of something. go get some rest. your answer can wait"

it is as if im watching an awkward love story between these two heroes. but the one who will benefit from their love story will be caster. i wonder what kind of novel he is going to release soon.
