Chapter 1

this is my first story. i honestly had no clue what I was doing, when this was being written. there are many things i did wrong while writing this. such as character developments and having a fast moving plot. some people have said they lost interest because of that, but it does slow down. while others enjoy the fast moving plot. In order for me to fix that, it requires heavy editing and I don't know when I'll be able to come around to that. this story has not been proofread. with all that being said, I want to thank you for deciding to read my story. now, you can continue!

"Adelaine, you need to wake up now!" My mom yelled from downstairs

I didn't blame her. This was her third attempt to try to get me to wake up.

"Okay, okay just 5 more....minutes.." I said as I dozed back into sleep

It's not that I was really tired but also that I didn't want to go to school. I was going to be the new kid.

New school, new friends, new classes, new students, new drama.

I look at the time and noticed it was 7:45

"Crap, crap, crap" I said as I shot out of bed

I remember my mom telling me the bus came at 8:00.

I rushed and quickly threw something on.

I grabbed a white sweater with light blue hearts on it and dark wash skinny jeans.

"Nooo 7:55" I said

I still hadn't put on my contacts and I could only find one combat boot.

"Mom, where's my other combat boot?!" I yelled from upstairs, while putting my contacts in

"Downstairs! You have 3 minutes!" She replied "Oh and don't be late today, we're having dinner with some friends."

I ran down the stairs right when it hit 8:00 I grabbed my combat boot and just my luck the zipper was stuck. Great, I sighed.

By the time I ran out the door the bus passed my house and I had to run after the bus.

"Sweetie, please try to be on time tomorrow." The bus driving said while opening the door

I quickly sat down in the very front. Dreading, this first day.

"Hi, my name is Mallory! I'm part of the welcome committee for all the new students. I'll be showing you around today!" After every class I'll be picking you up and taking you to your next class. We don't want you getting lost on your very first day do we? She said happily

"Oh okay, we'll uhh, hi my name is Adel-"

"Adelaine!" She chirped, giggling afterwards

"You can just call me Addy" I said

How could she be a ball of sunshine so early in the morning?

I looked at my schedule

1st period- AP English

2nd period- Art

3rd period- AP US History

4th period- PE really? I don't run.

5th period- AP Physics

6th period- Pre- Ap Calculus (clearly my weakness)

Okay, I can do this.
