I'm really trying to make this story as realistic as possible. I need to constantly remind the readers and myself how bad the apartheid conditions were. I should have done this on the first chapter but I will just add it now. If you are South African it's easy for you to just jump straight into the story but for my international readers it's confusion all the way so hopefully this answers some unanswered questions. Hopefully this won't sound like a history lesson anyways I love history so I wouldn't mind. - Antonette
"Apartheid"

2. The Apartheid was the social and political policy of racial segregation and discrimination enforced by white minority governments in South Africa from 1948 to 1994.
3."The white people of South Africa ruled everything. Under the laws that came to be known to the world as apartheid, black people were not allowed to live near white people. They could not marry white people. They could not share whites' toilets, restaurants, sports arenas, or bars. They had to carry passes. They were treated like animals."
