George William Frederick

I awoke that morning to a brisk knock on my door. "Come in..!" I called tiredly and sat up, yawning. Sara, my favorite maid poked her head in with a nervous smile. "Good morning, Master George. I hope you are well rested. Please meet your parents in the dining hall for breakfast, sir." She said softly. "Alright.. and you know you can call me just George, dear. We've been over this." I told her, running a hand through my messy blonde hair.

"R-right! Sorry, it just takes some getting used to, sir. Its just so informal." She stated. I only hummed in response and climbed out of bed.

"They expect you to be down in 20 minutes, sir." She said and left.

I walked to my bathroom, sighing and expecting another boring day of being stuck in the mansion and them announcing another trip to disappear on.

After getting dressed, I picked up my phone and decided to send a text to that Seastar.

YourKing: Good morning, love! Hope you slept well! Remember to be strong and hopefully we can talk later ❤️

I smiled at it and tossed my phone on the bed, hoping that will brighten up his day. After checking out his profile (and noticing how cute he was), I decided that I would talk to him more. He seemed so sweet and humble when we talked the other day and for some reason.. I felt the need to protect him. He seemed so innocent..

I shook my thoughts away and went downstairs.

-----

I made my way downstairs in my usual wear, my elegant red robe brushing the floor lightly and my crown (made out of real gold and jewels, mind you, peasant) resting atop my head. I entered the dinning hall and sat in my spot, crossing my legs and looking at my parents.

Sara had appeared from the kitchen, setting a cup of peppermint tea in front of me. I thanked her and took a sip.

"Good morning, Fredrick." My mother said. I only scoffed and replied with: "Oh, how I wish it was a good morning. You know very well I hate being called that. Just hurry up and announce another trip so I can have the mansion to myself again."

My father gasped and glared.

"Do not speak to your mother like like! And we can call you whatever we want! You're our child!" He hissed.

"Oh, how I wish I weren't. Please speak." I said, keeping my cool and picking at my nails which were painted a ruby red.

"Whatever, I'm not dealing with this. Frederick, we fired your tutor to save money and we're sending you to a regular public high school. Not only that, your father and I are going to Brazil." Mother said, coldly.

I almost spat out my tea. "You're sending me to a what?! Our family was always tutored! And you don't need to save money! We have plenty of it!" I hissed in astonishment and spite.

"It's our decision, not yours! So, you're going!" My father yelled.

"But, I'm 18! I'm an adult!"

"You don't act like it! And you're able to do a year of school and graduate! We already enrolled you. You start tomorrow, no protesting because we don't want to hear it." My mother growled, standing up from her seat.

"Tomorrow?! You tell me this the day before?! Bloody hell, what kind of parents are you?!" I screamed, standing up as well, glaring at them.

"Enough! You better go to damn school tomorrow or else you live on the streets! We'll be gone for a few months and we're leaving tonight. The school will contact us if you don't show up so, you better be there! Goodbye, Fredrick."

My father yelled and left the room with my mother. I angrily slammed my hands on the table.

"Stupid twats! Thinking they own me!" I yelled aloud and sat down, angrily drinking my tea. Sara appeared again and made her way over to me.

"Oh, Master George, it wont't be that bad..! Maybe you'll make some friends! Or even better, find someone!" She patted my back, trying to calm me down.

"Oh but it will be, Sara! Just think about it! Filthy peasants and their hideous clothes! The smell of musk and teenage hormones everywhere! Disgusting!" I spat, finishing my tea.

"Hey..! I went to a public school and it wasn't that bad. Please just give it a chance, Master George. Please?" She asked, looking me in the eye. I looked back at her and sighed.

"Fine.. I'll go. Only because you've convinced me." I huffed and crossed my arms. She smiled and patted my shoulder. "Good! Now, I'll go get your breakfast!" She said and left the room.

Sara was my only friend here. Well.. just my only friend in general. My parents hired her a few months ago and I've taken a like to her ever since. But not the romantic way, Christ no, I prefer men!

She's helped me in a lot of situations and if she's confident that public school isn't that bad.. well.. I'll just take her word for it.
