Previously on chapter seven: (Bianca’s P.O.V)
“Bianca, I know you were friends with Jayne, and I’m sorry you’re only finding out now but...”
“But what?” I urge her. Tears stream down her face at this point.
“Natasha tell me what happened to Jayne?”
“Bianca, Jayne has been listed as missing since January 31st this year. Bianca she’s been missing for the last nine and a half months.”
Chapter Eight
Delilah’s P.O.V
They know. She knows. Bianca now knows about Jayne. But they don’t know the full story yet. My teeth sink deep into my chapped lips, my hands twitch uncontrollably. They know. She’s going to ask questions, lots of them. That’s what she does. That’s who Bianca is.
“Of course they know, and I’ll make sure they know the full story. Every little detail, I let them know what you’ve done to me!” her voice lurks in my room, Jayne. It’s my entire fault I should have known better.
“I’m sorry Jayne…” I whisper out just in time as she vanishes once more.
My eyes fly open; one last scream leaves my mouth. Another nightmare, the same one in fact as every other night, yet it has the same effect on me each time. I steady my ragged breaths, my body shivers slightly. My digital clock reads 3:47 am, on time as usual. Creeping out of my bed I make my way over to the hidden safe inside my walk-in robe. I pull out my box, unlocking it I take out the first thing I touch. With the lighter carefully tucked into the pocket of night gown, I make my way outside the house. Flicking the lighter on, I watch the fire rise. Always fire, it’s always fire. I made one promise years ago, when time stops and the truth lies in a bed of ashes then I shall tell everyone the truth. Closing my eyes, I breathe in the intoxicating fumes of fire.
After returning to my bedroom, I sit in the furthest corner from my bed. With knees tucked in, I rock gently, waiting for the sunrise and Jayne.

Everyone sits in the kitchen, chatting lightly to one another. My eyes scan for an easy route to enter the kitchen without dragging attention to myself. Quickly walking into the kitchen I grab an apple from the kitchen bench and head towards the nearest exit.
"Delilah, honey are you seriously going to eat an apple for breakfast?" Mayella asks, her hands carefully placed on my shoulder. The quite chatter dims down to a silent finish. Mums chocolate brown eyes avert between Mayella and me, a hint of jealousy surfacing her eyes. Standing up she walks towards the intercom stationed at the kitchen entrance.
"Rosaline!" she calls, her foot tapping against the tiles. Waiting for a few seconds she presses onto the intercom and calls the young maids name once again much louder, and forcefully. The small maid stumbles into the kitchen, panting heavily. She readjusts herself upon seeing mum.
"Yes madam, is there anything you wish for me to do?" smiling meekly she lowers her head out of respect. mum doesn't return the smile, she sends a scowl at Rosaline instead. Unlike usual mum doesn't ask her to stop the formality, or talk to her like she's part of the family. Instead she yells at her for not responding to her calls quickly enough, and orders her to prepare a plate from me. She also dismisses Mayella from the table ordering her to get to her work right away as we were expecting guests any day soon. I also notice that her wedding ring is still missing, that no words were shared between both Tom and her.

A smile for Dee (I'm currently removing it, read the new version)
Mystère / ThrillerIt started with a smile. Except Delilah didn't smile, in fact she stopped smiling. This is how this story begins, and Bianca alongside Samuel took it upon themselves to solve this mystery. But little do they know that in order to find the truth, the...
