| ~ A Poem For My Brother ~ |

Your face is engraved into my memory;

Of all things I tend to forget, you in your entirety has never been one of them;

You've been by my side through thick and thin;

You've waited for me even when the fate of this world tried to prove otherwise;

Even when I was seemingly dead;

You helped me;

Guided me;

Cared for me;

Made me feel loved;

And for that, I am forever grateful;

But there's more, so much more;

Forgive me for not covering it in its entirety;

Your kindness, caring personality, and friendliness is blinding;

Like a beacon cutting through the dark;

Despite all of our issues combined, you've remained that way;

You gave me something to live for;

All those times I desperately clung to you, you never pushed me away;

Never told me off;

Never get mad at me;

You understand and accept me like no one else;

You're special;

To me and others;

And I know I'm droning on, but I simply must;

For you are my brother;

My best friend;

And I want you to know that;

I want it to be engraved into your memory as it is mine;

So, once again, I say to you,

Thank you for being my brother.
