The Elven woman sat upon the hilltop, her gaze scanning the treetops as she waited for someone in particular.
As if on cue, a male with black hair that covered most of his eyes, which were a light brown, landed quietly behind the woman. He had a smug look adorning his expression, as per usual.
"Why hello there." His voice, smooth as always, reached her pointed ears, making her whip around to get a visual of him.
"Hey, Blade," she grinned, patting the seat next to her, "did you see Drake? Is he coming?"
If the woman had been paying close attention, she would've noticed his effortless smirk falter in the slightest.
"Not at all. Perhaps he's not coming?" He walked beside her, sitting rather close to her. Neither minded. The woman was about to respond, before the male would beat her to it once again.
"Actually, I did see him. He was with a young maiden, human. Probably around 25 or so. And with the look on his face, well, let's just say he probably won't be back for a while;" the man chuckled, "if you get what I mean."
The woman frowned a bit, looking down at the ground, though it was a good 20 feet from her.
"But no matter, life may be full of disappointments, but I'll surely make sure to pick you back up." The man winked, his smirk fully returned as he turned to the woman, noticing the faint flush of her cheeks.
"Why thank you, Bl-" The Elf was once again cut off, though it wouldn't exactly be by a person.
It was by a dagger.
A dagger with carvings she knew quite well.
"I was with a woman, you say?"
Both of them turned their heads to the owner of the voice, though there'd be different expressions on both people. For the female, it was nothing but joy. For the male, however...
Let's just say he looked like he's seen better days.
The brown-haired woman jumped up, rushing over to Drake before practically leaping on him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug.
"I thought you'd be gone for a while!"
Despite the woman's warm words and actions, the man she was currently clinging to didn't budge, nor look at her. His gaze was glued to Blade's.
"Describe this woman. Was she beautiful? Well curved? Long hair? Thin body?"
Blade huffed, crossing his arms, "oh to hell with you."
"Already did. Why don't you have a go?" Drake extended his hand, retrieving his dagger.
"Well, obviously, you weren't there long enough. Otherwise the darling little woman," he winked at said girl, "currently against your side would hate you to the core."
"Ah, on the contrary," Drake gently pushed Danielle off of him, stalking towards Blade with a look of pure power, "I think she likes this side of me."
The dragon's eyes flickered for a moment, the red seeping into his irises. He was met with a rivalry hate, Blade's eyes narrowing at the dragon.
As if the two made a mutual agreement through a mere gaze, they both launched themselves at each other. Blade's fist reeled back, aiming for Drake's gut. Quickly moving to the side, the dragon dodged the hit, elbowing the human in the back with a, nearly shattering, blow. The human quickly crumpled to the ground, though he'd throw out his leg, making the centuries old dragon fall on his back with a lesser blow.
Instantly, the two were on each other, rolling over the raised platform as the woman's shouts for the two to stop were drowned out by the grunts, sounds of skin splitting, and the occasional crunch of a bone.
With one last blow, the dragon came out victorious, shoving Blade's slightly bloodied body aside. Both were panting as they glared at each other in hate.
"I don't know why I try to prove anything to you, you never seem to learn."
"Learn what? That you're nothing but a beast from hell?"
The dragon smirked at the man's remark, slithering his arm around the woman's waist before crashing her into his side.
"No. That you attempt to toy with something I already own." The smirk was washed off of Drake's face, a look of disgust flashing over it.
"I'd rather you not try it again."
He turned, briefly placing his lips upon the woman's victoriously. Afterward, he simply let go of the baffled Elf, taking a step back before bowing and walking off.
"Enjoy your evening."
And with that, he was off, leaving the, frozen in place, Elf and human.
