Talia's POV
That message that Steph sent me this morning had been on my mind the entire day. I didn't respond to it, because I really didn't know what to say. I'm just at a loss for words right now. I barely paid any attention to what was going on in my meetings because my mind was so far gone. He said he misses me! I bet he won't when he realizes that Tae and Ty are his. If he does realize, that is. Maybe I just need to stop thinking so negative. I was now back at home currently looking down at the message deciding what to say. I keep typing and then erasing. I finally decided to hit send. What's the worst that could happen?
TMajor: I miss you too. I should be in Oakland in the next couple of weeks so I'll let you know.
It didn't take long for me to get a response.
StephenCurry30: Can't wait.
I thought that one day that I was going to marry this man and that we would live happily ever after. I'm not even going to lie, if I was given that option now I would jump at the chance. Seeing that message from him has brought all of my feelings that I tried to suppress right to the surface. This was getting more confusing by the day. Should I just blurt it out and tell him or wait? I mean if he sees me at the game with two girls who look just like me there are bound to be questions. I guess I'll just figure it out when the time comes. The thing is that no one really knows what my daughters look like and if I even have them since I never post them anywhere on my social media.
My thoughts were interrupted by hearing the front door open and close. Looks like my babies were back.
"Maaaa!!!!" Tae screamed echoing throughout the house.
"Up here!" I said in response. I quickly logged off Instagram and turned on the television in my room. Two seconds later, Tae and Ty came in and took a seat on the bed on either side of me.
"How was your day?" I asked both of them while flipping through the channels.
"Good, got 100 on my pop quiz." Tae replied while smiling.
"It was uneventful so I guess that means it was okay." Ty said while scrolling through her iPad doing God knows what.
"So, girls I have decided that we will go to a Warriors game when you all are on spring break." Ty's face immediately lit up. That means it was two weeks away. I guess I can message him and tell him which game that I'm coming to.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you mommy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She immediately hugged me. I figured that it was the right thing to do.
"I also want to tell you girls something." I said while biting my lip and turning to look at both of them.
"What is it?" Tae asked giving me her full attention.
"Just be on your best behavior okay? If you all step out of line any time leading up to the day of the game we're not going, understood?" I already knew that this wasn't going to happen, but I had to let them know. One thing I was thankful for was having daughters who had sense. They know I will seriously punish them if they were to ever act out. It's easy now, but they're going to be teenagers in less than three years. Jesus help me.
"Yes ma'am."
"I know both of you have homework so go finish it and I'll get started on dinner. After we can watch Stranger Things." One thing that I am hard on them about is school. I want them to do well and essentially better than I did. I admit that I was smart, but I didn't push myself as much as I could have. I just remember people thinking I was just a pretty face and it basically stopped there. I wasn't seen as anything else, except from Steph.
