After the whole story was told, Mettaton was gone, and everything was cleared...
Everything was over, the fights, they're gone, Papyrus learned his ways. Sans won't be a lazy ass, King Asgore will try his best to set up everything back to normal, outlaw killing or violence of any sort, and try to make amends with his wife.
It was a perfect ending.
